Went shopping at "Winfields of Haslingden" today and was surprised to see a mini museum of old bikes. Phone photos so the quality isn't great... Any gems in there?

Theres a chance that i may be in the position to relocate down to the South Hams area around Totnes Devon, that should cheer up a LOT of people here in the East Midlands Centre and i was just wondering what the Trials scene is like down there. I only ride Pre65 and Twinshocks so am really only concerned about the amount and frequency of events and how far what sort of Trials type of terrain etc. Coming from Derbyshire i have been spoilt all my riding life as most events are within an hours drive approx 30 miles and i could ride every weekend if i wanted but choose just to ride twice a month. Hi Folks, I'm an ex Midland centre ex pat living in Australia and need a bit of help with my Cub forks. At the moment they are heavy duty forks with external springs and very little suspension movement. I don't have the knowledge of what Cub owners are fitting to their bikes in UK but keep seeing the words "trick forks". I know guys are fitting all sorts of internals but I don't have the facilities to carry out these mods myself . Afternoon all During a day of riding on a family friends farm, we all tried to identify a bike which didn't have any clear branding on either frame or engine. Hi Guys, After being badgered for a couple of months to incorporate Twin-Shocks into the Classic Trials Show by a guy, after discussion with the team we decided to give him a chance, He then turned the idea down. This is what we said. OK, we have a one hour slot in our busy schedule, that we may be able to fit in a one lap, ten section, trials class. So if you can find seven or eight, "Honda riders" to make up this class, to ride both days. Okay, I know that this is sacrilegious to even suggest this ….but I want brakes on my TLR200 Reflex. Before everyone looses their minds and start yelling for me to learn how to ride and to use engine braking and what not let me explain. I am not fortunate enough to have a practice area in my yard nor do I have a way to conveniently transport my bike most days. Do any of you boffins know what is the best exhaust system for a 32A Villiers trials engine and where to get one? Is a true silencer better than an expansion box? What sort of packing is best? Does length matter!!!?? Thanks in anticipation.

have a 59 c15t distributor model running points and capacitor ignition how do i replace the points gubbins with an electonic sensor do i need to fit a battery and buy a boyer black box and sensor or can u just get the sensor for mushroom and wire it into the capacitor ignition system which im assuming is 12 volt as its running a 12 volt capacitor. just want shot of the prince of darkness points so i can start the bugga easier ! hopefully !. anybody got a back wheel /hub with a bolt on sprocket to fit as its got a road wheel at mo and is too high geared, 46 shud be 56, sprocket is cast into hub.

i have a 1979 sherpa t 250 with a a duff flywheel and stator plate i have seen the bottom half of a sherpa 350 engine for sale but only know its from the seventies a was wondering if anyone could help me i am hoping that the whole ignition system (stator plate coils etc ) will fit straight on to my bike with my system removed. any help most welcome cheers richie

Been working for several months on this restoration. When I got the bike it was pretty rough, it had been sitting outdoors in boxes and was pretty rusty and person I bought it from had put it together , but not very well. I have rebuilt front forks, replaced rear shocks with OZO gas shocks for trials, replaced front rim, it was real rusty, replaced gas tank, it had rusted through bottom and person had epoxied the inside, yuck. Tank I put on was from Ebay and had light rust inside which was fixed with just plain old vinegar and some pea gravel and knocking out dents and a little Bondo. I recently bought a 1987 Honda Reflex. It is in decent shape with a box containing all the lights and parts. One of the reasons I got it is so my short wife can have a dual sport. All of the current dual sports are too tall for her. This hides the fact that I bought myself a new bike. I am registering it in TN and will bring it back to street legal status while leaving its focus on trials practice (I do not plan to compete any time soon). One of the POs removed the battery so it is running straight off the coil. The headlight does not work (I have not dived very deep into it but a multimeter at the leads does not register anything) and I think it shocked me a couple times…

Does anyone know what the static sag (race sag) should be on the rear shocks of twinshock I’ve put on a few pounds just lately and I seem to be squashing the rear of my bike down quite a lot!

Hi all, does anyone out there in the classic world know where I can get a replica Ariel HT trials frame from. Everyone I have contacted has either stopped making them or put the shutters up for an unspecified time as they are busy. I`m not afraid to pay but I just can find a source. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, in the middle of a Bultaco restoration. I wanted to powder coat the frame blue but having real problems getting a good match. Am I going to have to sray it with electic blue or does anybody have any suggestions? Wiil post some before and after photos soon.
