Does any one know if you can still get good 400/19 trials tyres, i had a new dunlop tyre come yesterday and quality is CRAP so it going back, i think i will be better of to rebuild the wheel to 400 /18. cheers Gary

im currently having problems with my bsa bantam d3 trails bike and was wondering if any one could offer some hints or help as i have nearly run out of ideas. ok so heres the problem. When ever i try and kick start the bike it wont start cold. The bike will bump start easily enough and once warmed up after 5 or 10 minutes will kickstart first time, every time with little effort. I have changed the spark plug for a brand new ngk plug (correct numbers) I have checked and the plug is definatly sparking. The plug gap is correct 0.018 1inch The contact breaker points gap is correct. i have cleaned the points up i have checked the air filter and it is clean The bike has…

Just been reading an excellent article on the Mid Atlantic Vintage Trials club web site concerning an AJS project using one of Sammy's fibreglass fuel tanks. The addition of 10% ethanol into petrol in Maryland USA has caused his tank to dissolve, leak and clog the fuel line and carb. Anyone else had this problem? Apparently some fuels here in the UK (Tesco for one) have had 5% ethanol for some time. Several other projects of interest on the web site too.

I recall reading about the existence of an event called the ACU 1000 Mile Trial - I forget where. Possibly run in the early 1900s. Does anyone have any information on it? What happened to it? Just out of interest. Thanks.

Along with another T.C member I have been asked by the powers that be in the trials world in France to organise a trial here in my region, The South west of France. Firstly, putting on a trial in France is a costly affair apart with the permits and insurances, depending on the type of trial, closed multi lap, or longer one or two lap trials you need one or more ambulances and a doctor on standy all day ready to attend any one injured. This can add up to six hundred euros a day so you have to make sure that you will cover these basic costs, ie you have to try and encourage a decent enty. Hi Folks, Hope you don't get tired of me asking these questions. The Bultaco deal fell through. Can someone tell me the difference between a 1972 Ossa MAR and a 1973 Ossa Explorer. They look the same. Are frame geometry, motor and gearing similar to the MAR. Would the 73 Explorer make a good trials bike. And if so, what would I need to change other than tank, seat and sprockets. Thanks folks, Gordon

Hi all I'm looking for an old trials rider from the '60s and '70s called Mike Saintey. He should be around about 70 now. The last address I have for him is in Portsmouth where he was staying in 1998. The reason I'm looking for him is that he was the first owner of my Cheetah trials bike and I'm hoping to get some info that will assist me in restoring it to "as competed" condition. OK folks, I am now looking at a 1978 Bultaco Alpina, model 213. Will this make a good trials bike? Other than changing the tank, seat and sprockets, is there anything else I can do? Thanks, Gordon

What can i say Javier,Cabrianes is a Classic Trial in every way,Like Robregordo,Cabrianes has all the passion and atmosphere a Classic Trial should have.All the Brit's that have done Robregordo will know what i mean.
