Also sometimes the engine stops in the middle of a nonstop. After a kick it runs fine. Does any of the above sounds familair to anybody? Or maybe someone got any advise? Thanks in advance.

Anyone know of an aftermarket source for sturdyer footpeg hangers for the 00-06 Rev3 bikes. I think these stock Beta hangers bend under my own body weight, and if i bump a rock with the peg their bent for sure.

The bike would run fine then stop and not run again at all left it would start again then stop. he apparently has tried new stator, cdi and coil. Still sounds a bit stator like to me any ideas? Earths have been doubled to try to write that off as a problem. Could this be a compression problem ie when cold compression is better then gap arises when its hot? Or broken reeds? Any ideas welcome!!! I would like some pointers before i tackle next week. I was tempted to send stator to west country windings to have checked properly. PLEASE ANY IDEAS WELCOME

I have a 2014 evo and the rear brake has always felt weak. I finally went to diagnose and found that the brake fluid was black plus there was some black grease like goop around the bladder that fits in the reservoir. I cleaned it up and flushed fluid but then noticed there was a distinct step of resistance in the travel of the plunger. I replaced the cylinder and when I pulled the old one apart found what is in the picture. You can feel those bumps with your finger and it sort of looks like weld splatter. It looks like some is also in the cylinder bore but it is too small to get a good picture. The bore also shows machine marks that are not that smooth. Is simple c…

  16. OK so I got to thinking again. Dangerous I know but I'm bored with circuit theory at the moment so I figured I'd try to understand what the big whoop is with a diaphragm clutch since I haven't seen anyone explain the difference. This is my take on it. Feel free to shoot it full of holes and call me an idiot. The diaphragm clutch.pdf

Thanks Alan also meant to say its got a delorotto carb a cf 262 main jet and a 65 pilot and the bolt holding the float bowl has a 88 jet in it (not sure what that jet in the bolt does as ive never came across it before can anyone help)

I Typed in 2008 Beta Alp out of interest & came across a Beta Alp 200 Trials. The bike can be converted back to trail/Enduro but looks very interesting. The concept looks to be very similar to Scorpa's air cooled 125/143 & 163cc Yam powered trials bikes that can also be converted to long ride. The Beta Alp concept appears better in looks though & has a 193cc air cooled Suzuki engine. I am not sure how to upload images (I'm a bit technically inept like that) but if you want to see it Type in 2008 Beta Alp Trials into Google & it will soon be found on the 1st page. It's a French site I think & it can be translated. Actually its got me interested & I…

Hello I'm in the process of replacing the swingarm bearings on my '02 Beta Rev 3. I got the pivot pit out OK, but the old needle bearings are proving more difficult to remove! Is there a recognized method of shifting these that i should try before i resort to the big hammer/fail/ take to someone who know's what he's doing system that i so often seem to use!! Also (whilst it's apart) whats the best method of lubricating the spherical shock bearings. I can't feel and up and down play so am assuming they are OK. Cheers
