My 2018 Beta 200 Evo will go to the mechanic next week. I did no change for the rad coolant and it is as the dealer or Beta did for coolant inside the rad when I bought the bike. Is it safe to travel with the Evo in my trailer for 2 hours at -20C* outside. It is winter here. The coolant must be freezing proof as other bikes unless you change it? Thanks for your help.

'93 Beta Zero Gara. Now, bear in mind I'm otherwise a Yamaha puller-apart-er, but a Beta novice. Completely unfamiliar with Betas, and new to trials riding. I'm planning to pay-and-play with mine. Was riding it round our field, running fine, stopped, left it for a few minutes and tried to re-start it. Nada. Checked and filled with fuel. Nope. Eventually skinned all my knuckles changing the plug. Kicked it over with plug resting on crankcase before putting it back: no spark. What could the problem be? Coil? If so, anybody got a part number or know where I can get one in the UK or Europe? Otherwise what else could it be? And can anybody recommend a Beta fett…

  4. After a bit of trial an error I managed to get the old girl feeling better. Just after a bit of info about the setup of the suspension as I dont have the instruction book for them. I assume the left fork with the allen bolt is spring preload while the other with thte small knurled nut is for damping. Which way do you turn the hand one as it doesnt seem to make any difference at either end of adjustment. Also for the first time I managed to adjust the damping on the rear, it has always felt really bouncy and has had a tendancy to kick back, I found it was wound all the way to the top, assuming that is the no damping position as I changed it to the other end with a bit o…

  7. I've ridden my 08 270 Beta twice and have noticed that the rear tyre is rubbing hard onto the rear shock - to the extent that the rubber boot is now completely worn through and the shock body has a visible scuff caused by the abrasion. Most of my riding will be more trail orientated (I a road regd) so I will be riding in muddy conditions for extended periods in the future. Has anyone experined similar problems and is this easily sortable? I've already tried to pull the rear wheel back by extending the snail cams but the chain is too tight now. Should I lengthen the chain? Thanks for any help!

Once I have rectified my overheating issue on my Beta 270 (2005) I am going to have a look at my clutch plates etc. I have only owned the bike for 2 weeks and the previous owner did very little maintenance. The clutch is very temperamental, some times it drags and some times there is a false nutural between 4th and 5th. Has anyone got instruction with diagrams if possible of how to dis-assemble and asseble the clutch. Thanks

well im new to the site so had better start by saying hello !.... i recently brought a 92 zero...however after a while it begins to boil over...so on inspection noticed the fan was not kicking in,i bypassed the thermostat, still no good. wired in a new rectifier, still no joy. however if i connect the two yellow wires off the regulator the fan spins on kick over,so i got hold of a used regulator, guess what?...still no good...surely i have not got two faulty reglators?? any help much appreciated...look forward to hearing from you.

Anyone know if the fan is just a push fit onto the motor? it came off yesterday during a trial. The motor works fine and I've pushed the fan back on the shaft and all OK but I'm guessing it will only come off again when riding although I cant get it back off the shaft now (vibration, knocks etc.) any info much appreciated.

The electrically operated fuel petcock has died on my 2009 Evo 4t and I'd like to replace it with some type of manually operated fuel valve. So I'm looking or ideas on what might work? The USA Beta parts guy doesn't know of any alternate solution. I'd even go for some type of inline valve downstream from the still in place non electrical part of the OEM system. Thanks for any ideas!

hi! Tomorrow i´m going to see this Beta Evo, the owner claims it to be a 2009 Evo Factory 290, but i doubt that, in my opinion it´s about ~2011 can anyone tell me which year this bike is made? maaybe it´s just a painted frame how do i see it from the frame number? since when do betas have 300 instead of 290cc? are there any other tips about what i have to look for at an evo? http://www.willhaben.at/iad/gebrauchtwagen/motorrad/beta-evo-factory-89178179/?adId=89178179 it´s this bike greets Dani

Hey guys I've had a few problems lately with the backfiring issues , it turned out that the exhaust wasn't sealed correctly which sorted it out , but then it's started with a new problem , somebody told me to richen the carb so I dropped the needle to the bottom setting on the pin but when it warmed up a had a different problem it would be hard to start , if I blipped the throttle the idle would drop below and nearly stall so I have taken the pin up 2 settings and its backfiring again I'm gonna drop it down one and see what that is like , but my question is , I went out today in really bad weather and as soon as it got into the wind and rain it ran really bad , was hardl…

Hi all, I'm a lucky guy that will throw a leg over a new Beta Evo 250 4T in few days. I came across this information about carb settings I understand that homologation requirements are on the lean side and the bike should run with the competition settings. I have a pair of questions: - What means 'spacer'? In what part of the carb is located? - Are you, beta 4T users, in agreement with the recommended settings? - Are the needed jets supplied in the crate? Well, three of them. Sorry... I hope to share with you my new Beta-times. Cheers, JM

It’s safe to say the rear break on my 2017 evo is rubbish. Pads are fine there’s loads left. It will break hard if I really stamp on it but there just isn’t much feel there. Had a go on a few other bikes and the rear breaks on those are far superior. Any fixes?
