I might have deleted the thread I started earlier. Trying to figure out why my 2001 rev3 won't fire. Has decent spark, new top end, carb tangs set low with little movement. 80:1 94 octane with stabilizer. The addict suggested maybe a woodruff key, so I'm about to check that out. Killing me that it won't start

Following the bike overheating at the end of the last comp, investigation led me to a very nice bodge job by the previous owner around a crack in the water pump housing filled from the inside! This has now given way resulting in the overheat. I have elected not to repeat the bodge but to carryout a full inner clutch casing change! Having released all of the bolts, the old casing appears to be catching on a rubber spacer on the lower front edge. The only way I can see of getting around this is that the bash plate needs to come off? Is this correct or am I missing something??? Also any other things I should be aware of / checking?? Rob

Hi I'm about to get my 2010 evo 4T and after reading everything I can on this forums about this bike I decided to order an aftermarket kill switch because seems like the OEM one is a piece of crap. My question is: is it worth to get a theter style one (just in case i fall off, wich I will) Or just a normal one, like yamaha style? thanks

I have a rubbish back brake disk for my beta techno 250 is there anywhere I can get one from other the the beta site (because I can't find one) or if there is any way of making the disk better (I'm selling it soon so don't want to spent to much). Thanks.

Hi All My 2013 Beta Evo will not start or run when it does start. I have stripped down all the fuel side & it is clean. I then noticed that it does not have a spark. I stripped & cleaned down as many connections as I could while I was out on site but would not work. I look after it as I should by cleaning & removing the flywheel cover after every outing. Is it likely to be the stator or should I be looking at something else? thanks in advance, Nige

Does anyone else find it annoying that you can't put your side stand down with your foot? It's irritating having to reach down to do it with my hand, to the point where I usually look for a tree or wall to stand it against instead!

How do. Are there many differences between the 300 factory bike between the 17 and 18 models. A mate of mine who has had both says the 18 is the much better bike, suspension, clutch etc. Reading up on the specs and claimed improvements there doesn’t seem to be any difference?!!! Your thoughts please. Is there 18 spec factory bike a big improvement over the standard black model?

i am new to this seen and have just bought a 95 techno. i got it very cheap and have taken on a few gearbox problems. neutral is near impossable to find when the bike is running and third gear is where forth shoud be and vise versa. the guy that owned before me did the handy work. he said a circlip came of the selector shaft and had to be replaced. i have road bikes and am a novice diy mechanic. should i open it up. also . where would i find bushing for the rear suspension linkage. they are baddly worn.

Anyone know which way up the head gasket goes on a Rev 3 please ? I'm trying to change one, have the new one, but can't make my mind up which way up to position it, or if it matters. Never seen a head gasket quite like it as it's springy and has indents in it around the water channels. Head and Barrel mating surfaces look about the same to me. Most baffling. Another "slight" problem - Is there a recommended torque setting for the head bolts ? Don't know how I'll get a torque wrench on some of the bolts but ..... Thanks a lot for reading this and thanks once again if you can offer any advice

Hi folks, new to the forum, just getting back into trialing after a few (many) years away... I picked up a 96/97 Techno a couple of weeks ago and since last week the bike just will not start. This is my first stroker so I'm not 100% sure of myself when diagnosing problems! I have read the posts about turing off the fuel tap etc... and I have checked everything... I have a good meaty blue spark, I changed the HT to one from my VOR which I know is good (so no arcing), there's fuel getting to the carb... I have pretty much checked all I can.... with the exception of stripping the carb. I put fresh mix in it yesterday thinking that being Italian it's probably like the VO…

Hi all My other post was becoming a little off topic so thought I'd start a new one. Basically, I've got no spark at the plug. It's got a brand spanking stator on it, I've cleaned the plug, checked for splits in the wires, checked the cut out switch, cleaned up the terminals on the coil, so no my next best bet is the CDI right? Wrong? Any other suggestions? Am I correct in thinking it will still run with this connector block disconnected? Obviously, I'll have a hard time stopping the engine, but for the time being I'm just after a spark. Much appreciated Glyn
