Stolen Bikes

My Beta got stolen a while back and I have now replaced it and don't want the same to happen twice. I regulary see on this forum bikes getting stolen. I was wondering what people do as their best line of defence. I have been looking at ground anchors, different types of alarms, chains, locks and even a doberman...... Any suggestions?

Thieves broke into my garage in Almondsbury, North Bristol on the evening of Monday 11th June 2018 and stole my excellent condition and much loved 2004 Scorpa SY-250. It has dark blue PVC tape on the frame down members and a dent on the rear section of the exhaust outlet. It was fitted with some Trials Control footrests made by Chris Wrigley and I also replaced the rear slotted brake disk with a solid one from a Montesa. The frame number is: 400351 (*VVU6GY*)

Any recommendations for a garage alarm? I've been looking at various ones; they're not expensive but I have an issue with the delay time before they go off. Some have 15 seconds, which seems enough to allow the scrote to smash to siren before it goes off. Others only have 4 seconds, which with my sticky up-and-over door may not give me quite long enough to cancel it before I get hit by the noise. I would have thought somewhere halfway between would be ideal.

2017 Beta Evo 200 stolen from my garage last night and my mate's 2007rev 3 250 from his garage about 2 streets away. Once again MRS have been targeted by thieves Last Friday, 27th October, MRS had seven of their new ISDE model bikes stolen from a truck at Stanstead Airport. The Braintree and District MCC purchased 3 OSET bikes at the end of last year. These bikes have been used to promote Trials and we have been running events once or twice a month getting youngsters to try out Trials. This has been our attempt to promote Trials and get youngsters to take up the sport and the results so far have been encouraging. Last night two of the bikes were stolen from my garage in Halstead, Essex. I suspect that who ever stole these bikes knew what they were targetting as they broke in stole the two OSETs, the spare batteries and chargers and nothing else has been touched. I have this tracker fitted to of all my trials bikes after my Montesa repsol was stolen in 2012 costing me £5k See eBay number 111580231763 it emails if the bike moves then you can follow it's location on any smart phone or computer it's £85 plus £11 per month. or see https://biketrac.co.uk/ this is £299 and £10 a month much better system as soon as it moves they call you. I've had my garage ram raided last sunday afternoon, 2pm! in broad daylight! cheeky *******s. Basically they reversed a small van into the garage doors several times until it came off. They nicked my 2005 Montesa 4rt and 1992 Aprilia Climber, neither are insured, so Im well p****d off. Please look out for idiots trying to sell these bikes, let me know if you hear of anything.
