Having just gone through the misery of having two bikes stolen , one tiger cub engine no.t20 79495 and a fantic 300. I had some great news today. Adrian from TOR Yorkshire contacted me that someone was trying to sell him a fantic 300 near to me . Some hectic phone calls later and within 3 hours the police had recovered my bike and someone was in custody. Many thanks to Adrian and I would recommend anyone to contact as many dealers as possible if your bike is stolen . I HOPE THIS HELPS OTHER PEOPLE LOOKING FOR CHEERISHED BIKES . Two Pre65 trials bikes were stolen from Halifax, West Yorkshire last Thursday 6th November from the home of Yorkshire Classic MCC President Neil Anderton together with two helmets and a Yamaha Serrow. BSA Bantam D14 in trials Trim reg OBB 967 F - frame no D108726 James 8e in Trials trim reg 345 YUG, frame no 56k17778 eng no. 044B 39030 The Yamaha Serrow was found abandoned nearby with the ignition electrics damaged. How do I do an ID cheque on bikes in the UK

Hi all, On wed 29/6/2011 both mine and my dads trials bikes were stolen along with our life times collection of tools in snap on tool box's from the North Staffordshire area. Description: GasGas 321 (1999) - Blue, the tank has been cracked on the right hand side and repaired with that liquid metal stuff and due to this the tank sticker has been re-stuck down with evo stick leaving a clear mark (looks a little bit of a mess around the edges). On Thursday 1st September 2016 @ 1.30pm broad daylight, 3 Young lads aged Approx between 20 - 30 broke into my garage, using a petrol stihl saw to cut through the chains. They where seen loading the Beta Evo 300 2015, Norco Mountain Bike into back of a light silver Ford Focus Estate 2009, Car reg PN59 BYJ - Reg comes back to the right car but police belive it is a poole/clone car, They could not close the boot of the car due to the bike being too long for the car and left the boot/tail gate open while driving away, If you do see this car please contact West Yorkshire Police Immediately!!!! OSET Bikes are appealing for witnesses or information after 45 of its 2017 bikes were stolen yesterday from a lorry park in Leicestershire. The incident happened between 1800 and 0500 on the night of the 25 October at Markfield Service Station J22 off the M1, while the driver completed an overnight rest break. The new 2017 bikes were being transported from the docks, having cleared customs, to the manufacturer’s warehouse facilities in the Midlands. From here they were due to be transported across the UK to the dealership network. Beware Stolen Bike Some of you will know Malcolm Evely a well renowned and respected clubman rider from the South Midland Centre. After purchasing a brand new 08 Gas Gas 250 pro (Red with Black Frame) from John Lees Motorcycles in Higham Ferrers 3 weeks ago, some low life scum bags broke into his garage between Tuesday 18th December and the evening of Wednesday 19th December and stole it. Unfortunately last night, Wednesday the 16th of November, or in the early hours of this morning, Thurs 17th Nov Splatshop was broken into. 2 Sherco trials bikes were taken from our premises, a 2007 Sherco 290 with 2008 plastics and stickers. (Frame no: VNBS129TR6A018036) and a 2011 Sherco 290 (Frame no: VNBS129TR9A023409). The 2011 has white domino grips and a Red number board with number 184, it look pretty immaculate as we had just got it ready for sale. (sorry no pictures of the 2011). Another option is a vibro engraver at about £40. To make the bike less attractive to thieves and more likely to be recovered get it registered, it costs nothing. Then stamp or engrave the reg number on lots of parts, some visible and some hidden. I can't remember the exact figure but doing the above reduces theft by something like 70%
