Ran the bike around yesterday in my woods and its great, lovely super grunty engine that will plonk along at incredibly low revs. Brakes are good now they have bedded in and set up with help from this forum. She's rides tight, light and bright, quick steering but stable too, Starts first kick after priming her on the decompressor. She doesnt feel her 34 years old. Rear suspension is very stiff indeed though after my Beta REV3. She has Sammy Miller gas shocks on 50lb springs which may need changing to 40lb springs or less! hello someone has MAGICALS in his tl 320, that measure is 34 0 36?

Well just when you think you have done everything correctly during a strip down to help with the rebuild fate throws a spanner in the works.....like knocking over my temporary storage bench whilst parts are drying AND deleting strip down photos...doh! I now have all the front and rear axle assembly parts all mixed up, I can seperate most of the parts (most!) and but their 'as built' order is also hopelessly lost. Would anyone have a drawing/ photo of front and rear axle assemblies? Many thanks

Hi, has anybody out there had any experience with this type of clutch actuator ? Does it make a big difference or none at all to the lightness of the clutch ?

Where to get these bushings? Are those made of rubber? Mine are hard as a rock.

I keep hearing of this test and finally found it today. What no one ever seems to mention (or I've missed) is how old this test is, published in 1978, although that may not be any cause for concern, but what is, is the use of Castor Bean oil, not mineral based oil. About 20% into my Jumbo 350 project when I bought someone else's 85% finished project. I'll finish it first and then eventually get to the original one. Unfortunately I must have mistakenly deleted all my tear down photos and will probably be poking in occasionally with questions. I looked all over the web but can't find a pic of the skid plate rear mount. I got a new plate from Martin which would crash into the engine case unless there are spacers between the rear mount and the plate. I'm figuring about 12mm of space is needed. Is this right? Am I missing something? Any help w Thanks in advance

Hey Guys any tips what to do with a sticky clutch. It sticks a while from cold but thats not the problem as others do this as well. The problem is that when warmed up after pulling the clutch in it takes about 5 seconds before it disengages. This is also when starting off you have to wait about 5 seconds before engaging 1st. gear. For practice riding its okay but if it was to be used in a trial this would be difficult.

Hi all, I´m thinking of moving the condensor up under the petrol tank so that it can easily be changed. Anyone done this ? I suppose you can just join the three wires where the condensor normaly is and then fit the condensor in the blue wire to the HT coil (or not) ?

I recently acquired a 350 jumbo in very nice shape. It has been ridden quite a bit, so I took the top end apart. The piston and cylinder look amazingly good (I did measure with my gages and the cylinder is still within spec. for a cylinder of this size). But, the end ring gaps are about 20 -22 thou. I'm getting the piston coated with an abrasive powder coating product that they use in very high performance/horsepower engines. been doing this to all my bikes for 10 years and have had amazing results. So, does anyone know if OEM standard,1st or 2nd over piston rings are available? They would be an 82.0mm, 82.25mm or 82.50 mm... as needed, I'd file down to fit. From w…

Can anyone help me with the dimensions and shape of the pivot bracket for the propstand off a 320TL. I am about to strip the paint from the frame and swinging arm and I thought that I could replace the bracket that was missing when I purchased the bike. Judging by the weld that's left it looks like it was 35mm long and 5 or 6 mm wide where it fits onto the swinging arm. I haven't been able to take a photo of it but will add one if I get the chance. Noticed the brake lever arm being a little reluctant coming off when I was practicing on Sunday....did the usual 'remove the dipstick from the van and dribble a tad of oil around the arm desperatation trick'....its bad maintainance on my part, no excuse. The more keen eyed would have noticed two dipsticks in my van on Sunday, myself being the other. The old girl since being rebuilt 2 years ago (?), has only had the carb cleaned once and the gearbox oil dropped 5 or 6 times, in that time she has lead an 'on and off' life as my enthusiasm has gone from peaks to troughs...I'd rather lay on a Norfolk beach than do a trial in the summer and watch my 5 year enjoying herself…

My TL320 ran really well when I was riding at around 4000 feet above sea level recently. When I got it home to 7000 feet, I have no power at the low end, just off idle. I tried dropping my needle to lean out the mixture. I only had one notch available to drop the needle, and it didn't make much difference. I assume I will need to change the jet(s?) and wondered if there are any high-altitude riders out there who could suggest which jets I should buy to get me close to correct mixture at 7000 to 10,000 feet, which is where I expect to do the bulk of my riding.
