I'll be going down to Tish for the Rock Creek national (I'll be handling tech inspection for some reason) and as far as I know we will be using the new "Clubman" line. As we're the first Trial of the season, it will be very interesting as to how it works. I personally think it's a great idea and should open up competition for new riders who otherwise would not try a National event plus allow twinshocks to compete. I remember, as a noobie in the 70's, I signed up for my very first Trial at Hollister Hills in Northern California and found it pretty tough, but I did finish, sore and tired. Only later did I find out I had entered a U.S. National........ Jon

Tis the season opener! If I can ever get out of this snow and get to Arizona then we have Rounds 1&2 of the Ahrma Trials Championship this coming weekend, 13/14 Feb. There will also be a Beginners Trials School all day Friday, cost $30.00. For the MX men you can ride both events as the sections WILL stay open until you are finished. For those wanting a sneaky preview then look at my "Blog" under "24" which will give you an idea of the 12 sections for each day. Tony

  10. The 2010 Columbia Cup Event Information May 15 & 16, 2010 will be the seventh anniversary of The Columbia Cup fundraiser trials. The City of Goldendale, WA with the cooperation of local landowners, welcomes the riders every year to this fantastic venue for our annual event. Over the past seven years our event has been a major fundraiser for the USA and Canadian TdN Teams and the PNTA Junior Nationals riders. For 2010 we will once again be raising funds to support the young Northwest riders that will be competing in the 2010 Youth Nationals. Goldendale offers some of the world

  11. Hi all, I am considering a fun trials at my place late in November or early December. Idea is to have a fun (peer scored) event run under the Scottish Gate Trial Format. (You WANT more points - not less!) Original thought was to have it during the first weekend of Dec, but that will conflict with the AMA D-14 Annual Meeting (which I need to attend) So other possible dates are as follows: Nov 21 Sat Nov 22 Sun Nov 29 Sun Dec 12 Sat Dec 13 Sun PLEASE CHIME IN HERE IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN COMING- SO I CAN PICK THE BEST DATE FOR EVERYONE! I realize there will be hunting and possible holiday conflicts, and as we go later in Dec. more cold weather issues. …

Is there any chance that a vintage line could be added in the MOTA rounds for the 2010 season? Looks like we have at least 5 twinshock/vintage bikes that I regularly see at events and this seems like enough for a class. I think that you just use the novice line and put nov or vin on the plate and score them against each other.

Just thought I'd post a video of a potentially new area for our club here in SE Kansas. Hopefully we'll be hosting an event here in '10. The video barely represents the amount of obstacles this 200+ acre land contains. A truly amazing place, big thanks to Ron and Leah for being such gracious hosts and letting us ride. (sorry for the shakiness, a bit of arm pump)

  15. What a great day we had today! 90+ riders, fantastic weather, great sections for morning & afternoon riders, and Pat Smage, too! The quarry was jumping with riders from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Tennesee, Kansas, Oklahoma, & Texas (the pits were packed!). The annual bike launch went off smoothly as did dinner, too. Tomorrow promises more of the same. Dale Malasek brought the 2010 Gas Gas for everyone to see and it was nicely priced, too. If you couldn't make this year's event mark your calendar for next year! I'll try to post a picture or two later... Greg

Mota riders! Well I have been thinking (ut oh) and thinking and thinking about the Bentfenders trials. We have laid out a couple of sections. We have ridden the poo out of them. We tweeked we consulted. We tweeked some more. We ran out of tape. We used some other tape. We mowed. Then we went out and rode some more. We are looking forward to a fun event. Experts, bring a fresh tire if possible. Hills like you have not seen in michigan. Twist and go. Biff cleaned them you should too. Advance We know some of you are new we know some are returning. Zippy made sure you are all going to have fun. we both want to clear the log section but a 1 is very respectable. Sportsman…
