Hello, I recently purchased a 1996 JTR 250 Gas Gas. Very sweet, but the wiring for the main kill/light/horn switch is cut. I have a new switch, but would desperately need to look at a wiring diagram. ANy one have a basic one I could have? Even a 'green=ground' type would be of huge help here. Also, where is the best place to buy parts for this beast? I have looked just about everywhere and they are scarse to say the least. Many thanks, Rohls

Yesterday was riding all day i stopped for a breather and as i went to start my bike, i jumped on the kick starter and something snapped in side now it sort of spins!!!!! i was wondering where i could get it fixed nr Shaftesbury Dorset by the 9th? I know a guy who MIGHT be able to fix it. And how expensive would it be from what i gather mechanic's charge from about 20 pounds an hour up!

Hello,I'm new to the forum and trials,I've just purchased a 2014 txt pro 300 it has a stiff clutch compared to a txt raga 250 that I was able to try out this past winter. The 250 clutch was very effortless. I would like to make my 300 feel as good.I've researched some possible fixes ,measure clutch pack to make sure within spec, this is the first thing I will do. Does anyone know if the 250 comes with softer springs in the clutch ,if so is there any issue with installing a 250 kit in the 300. I'm a beginner in trials ,I have been riding for several yrs on dual sport bikes and figure it's time to learn some real skills. thanks for any input.

I have a 2020 TXT250 Racing. It’s petcock has three positions for off, on, reserve, but there is no indication on the petcock or in the manual as to which position is which! there is a nine o’clock, six o’clock, and three o’clock position. Anyone know which is which? Even my dealer doesn’t know.

Hello. Has GasGas or anybody else released a seat for this bike? Does the 2022 version fit? Otherwise, have any of your folks devised a nice DIY version? Has anyone adapted a Long Ride kit from Sherco or Beta?

Noticed my gearbox oil is a bit milky, was hoping it was just a little winter condensation build up as it lives in a cold garage, but have just changed the oil and its gone milky pretty much straight away. So is this likely to be water pump seals letting coolant into the oil? Or could it be quite a bit of moisture build that'll take a little while to disappear? Or maybe water being sucked up the breathers? No other weirdness by the way, it's not smoking white smoke or anything. I will measure the coolant level and monitor it to see if that's where its coming from and I'll also check the clutch cover gasket when I get a minute. The bike has been used in deep water since th…

Hi Guys, My first post on here, I'm hoping somebody can help as there is so little information available on the web for Gas Gases of this age. My old (but reliable) year 2000 250 (249) TXT runs absolutely fine generally but I've very recently road registered it and this overheating problem has only reared its head since I've taken it on relatively long runs (only a few miles though!). I noticed that it gets extremely hot on the road, and only at low speeds really. So much so that it actually smokes from the exhaust, not normal 2-stroke smoke, but hot smoke smoke! It smells like burnt oil...you know, bloody hot oil! The whole exhaust system is ridiculously hot, far t…

Hi All, Was getting my stuff together this morning to go off for a ride and noticed that the bike was a bit wet. Having started the bike, there was definitely a flow of water coming from the cooling system. It appeared to be coming from rad, but I couldn't really see whether it was actually the rad or one of the connecting hoses. The bike has overheatted (blown out steam) twice fairly recently. In both cases I killed it straight away and let it cool down, checked / added coolant as required and it was ok again. I'm guessing if there is a leka in the system it makes sense for it to boil over? So, can I repair the rad (with rad weld or something similar) or am I looki…

Hi. I've just bought a 2002 txt pro and I'm having problems starting. It is getting fuel and has a spark (though looks a little weak). It is difficult whether hot or cold, and there does not seem to be a pattern to it. Best so far seems to be a few kicks with choke on, then an open throttle kick with choke off. Normally takes 10-20 kicks either way. I've cleaned carb, changed air filter, checked grounds, stator gap. I'm about to strip top end and check rigs etc, but compression feels fine (too much if anything)! Any other suggestions appreciated. Also just drained coolant and it is a light brown, with a greasy feel. Is this just very old coolant of a sign of oil co…
