Hey fellas, I'm having trouble locally sourcing a 11T front sprocket for my 21' txt racing. It's an 19 spline sprocket and it looks like there's nothing available in the USA. I'm a smaller rider 5'7 145lbs on a 300 so getting more top speed likely wouldn't affect the bike. The thing pulls me around like I'm not even there and first is way too short, I'm mostly riding trails, single track, hill climbs. Any input is appreciated and happy holidays.

Anybody know which way up the shock in a 95 JT 250 should be, or does it even matter. I think when I removed it, the blue damping adjuster was at the top of the shock, and the preload adjuster at the bottom. Is this correct. And has anyone rebuilt one of these, ie. drilled and tapped the body of the shock to replace the oil? Thanks in advance, Alan.

Hi! I’m new to the forum. I searched and couldn’t find anything on the subject so I apologize if this has been asked. I can’t find a replacement rear fender for my 2002 txt280 edition. I talked to Jim Snell at Rising Sun and he told me they are all gone with no new ones anytime soon. I know I am not the only guy looking for a fender. This is a popular older bike. Has anyone successfully converted to a different fender like the txt pro version or something different? it seems like someone would have figured this out by now. I’m surprised no plastics company has started reproducing these. Or even 3D printed something? any info is super helpful. Pics even…

I've looked far and wide for a right side crankcase for my 17 GP 300 and not getting anywhere. I think the case from 13+ would fit but every dealer I've contacted basically said "good luck". Other than knocking on the factory door and daily searching eBay, I'm about to give up. Any suggestions or sources? Thanks Zack

G'day all, Looking at purchasing a used 2010 TXT PRO 300 and discovered a couple of tiny cracks in the headstock area during inspection. I found a thread with a much more catastrophic failure on here that had cracks which seemed to emanate from a similar area. I am sure the welds could be repaired, but I wondered if anyone had seen cracking like this before and what you all thought of it in general? Is that gusset on the RHS structural? I can see the RHS crack goes all the way through, but can't really check the LHS one, it could just be paint. There does seem to be a little bit of a crack in the paint on the weld directly above it also you might be able to see …

Hi, new here and need some advice. I've noticed that the rubber hose pipe going from the master cylinder to the reservoir on my bike runs under the suspension linkage and between the dogs. It's getting squashed and is also in a dodgy exposed place between the suspension and the ground. I think at some point the previous owner has routed it incorrectly, but I can't find any images online to show me how it should look. Can anyone help with the correct route this pipe should take? Cheers, JC

Does anyone have a link to the service manual for the 2003 rookie 80? Just got one for my son and we want to give it a full service. It would be good to go at it with a bit of info rather than just guessing. Cheers

Hi there. I have a 2001 Sherco which is running 38mm forks off a 2003 GASGAS. I am currently servicing them. Can anyone tell me what weight fork oil they run, capacity per leg, and air volume? You know, all the usual stuff. I have had no luck so far finding any service information for these units. Thanks in advance. Tony

Hi all, newbie here. I recently purchased a very used 2003 TXT Pro and quickly proceeded to torpedo the top end. Valuable lesson learned not to pin a 18 year old trials bike too hard up a long hill in the heat After pulling it apart it seems the cylinder is still smooth, only one thin vertical scratch. However you can see where the nikasil coating has worn through. General question: I only use this bike for practice and enduro skills development, as such I have a limited budget and would like to keep repairs as affordable as possible. Do you think a new piston & rings could be sufficient for low & slow riding? Any advice or vendors (US based here…

Signed off for a couple of days with sinusitis so more antibiotics and another weekend off riding… so thinking I’ll take this weekend to do the rainy day jobs on the trials bike. Main job is the crank seals plus got a new pair of piston rings to fit plus I’ll repack the silencer, grease everything whilst it’s apart, etc… anything to beware of when splitting the cases on these? Every other part of working on them is quirky so expecting something, don’t think there’s any consumable parts I’ve missed like lock tabs on the clutch basket or anything like that… just steady away and take lots of pics whilst disassembling… feedback welcome. Cheers.

I have a 2020 TXT250 Racing. It’s petcock has three positions for off, on, reserve, but there is no indication on the petcock or in the manual as to which position is which! there is a nine o’clock, six o’clock, and three o’clock position. Anyone know which is which? Even my dealer doesn’t know.

HELP I have a 2018 300 TXT We have just replaced the alternator side crank case seal. Unfortunately the bike won't now start. It will occasionally start but only with the throttle wide open. When it is running it runs perfectly There is a strong spark Whe you kick it over you can smell petrol Carb is set up correctly. We have tried a carb off another bike and it still won't start The kill switch has been disconnected , makes no difference. Any suggestions - could it be the stator or voltage regulator - Its getting really frustrating Thanks Gareth

Short story: I am looking for feedback on what's the general experience in getting Gas Gas parts and service under the new KTM ownership Longer story: I have a 2013 Gas Gas TXT which I have religiously maintained and upgraded throughout the years: Tech + Ohlins suspensions, Braktec brakes, did a full rebuild of the engine - new top end, changed every single bearing and seal in the engine, etc...). I do love my Gas Gas and I could maintain it and rider it for many years to come but I have the new bike hitch (I am in California and there are new emission regulations coming down that makes it the right time to get a bike). I know that KTM has done a lot of things …

Hi. I've got my 05 4rt up for sale as looking to move to a GasGas (wish id bought one instead of the 4rt) ideally i'd like the 2013/2014 250 raga rep as I like the suspension upgrades. Anything I should look out for before buying? Any common faults etc. Also what model/year would you experienced gasgas owners/riders say is the best and why? Cheers.

Is there any way to bench test the transmission to make sure it cycles through all the gears, I have my lower gears but it doesn’t seem like I have my higher gears, I have heard they are difficult to bench test is this true or should you be able to get some gears on the bench, I’m not sure if there is anything that could be out of whack, everything went together nice, ?
