Hi folks. Any help would be appreciated please. I have recently acquired a model 10 engine that seems to have the wrong clutch or counterweight, this is causing a problem because the sprockets don't line up for the primary chain. I think that the problem is with the counterweight, as i think the clutch is correct. It is located on its shaft with a woodruff key, but not 100% sure. If any model 10 experts could chip in it would be appreciated.

Hi, I got a project starting soon to rebuild my old Sherpa T, it's in bits and is missing the exhaust and seat (possibly more) and the engine needs bigends done. Are parts available for these bikes any more? Cheers.

I am installing a Gemo light, as original, on a second gen model 92. The Gemo light will have wires coming out under the rear mud guard and routed forward to power. I can see a wire harness exiting the rear guard just forward of the fender mount screw left side in a variety of pics of this era. My question is what mounts are used to secure the wire harness to the curvature of the mud guard?

Hi all, I have just purchased a bit of a bitsa Bultaco Pursang that i am going to restore. The motor in it is a 173 prefix (JM-17300036) and when i search on the Cemoto reference page it comes up as a 'MOTOR TRANS TRACK 350'. https://cemoto.tripod.com/bultaco.htm Can anyone tell me more about this motor - as in what model it was built for, what the JM stands for and why the slightly odd non-model specific referenece? Thanks, Max

I need tech advice or knowledge to find if Alpina tank and seat will fit onto a model 92 Sherpa T trials bike for trail riding. I saw an article about Sherpa Himalaya and I believe it states that the 1973 team used Sherpa model 125 and fitted Alpina tank/seat.

Well after spending 2 years of my free time and spending several thousand $ my bultaco is gone forever ! I had just finished fixing the last leak and decided its time to get it registered. Went to the DMV and filled out the paperwork, the next thing I know the CHP is giving me a long talk about where I got the bike and loading it up in a tow truck. as you might have guessed it had been stolen. My advice is be very careful when buying on Facebook marketplace! All the new parts on the bike should stay with me, but I had no choice. At least my daughter had a chance to ride it...

I have a recently restored model 116 and the lights have worked until last week. I am not very good with the electrical parts and would ask for a place to start to diagnose the problems. It has a lighting coil, Femsa points stock ignition, and four wires coming off the magneto/ignition. The wire colors are black, yellow, green and red. Any assistance is appreciated, but please type slowly as I am not good with the electrical..........😁

I have some Putoline Light Gear Oil (which I think has a viscosity of 98 according to their website) Bit annoying as the bloody bottle doesn't actually state the SAE number. I also have some Putoline ATF (which I think has a viscosity of 175 according to their website) I got them from In Motion Trials, but have forgotten which one to use in the Gearbox and which one to use in the Clutch. I would ring them up, but its Sunday and the sun is shining and I really want to ride my bike.

Hey riders, my current project is a very neglected Lobito 175 Mk4 (model 76). After disassembling and inspecting the gearbox, nothing is broken, but the countershaft has a worn area where the sleeve gear bronze bushings contact. I’ll obviously need a new shaft and sleeve gear bushings, but I’ve noticed that some later 5 speeds had two sets of caged needle bearings instead of the bronze bushings for the sleeve gear. Anyone know if it’s possible to retrofit the needle bearing shaft to an earlier gearbox?

Hi all, my Lobito 175 Mk4 basket case project came with a blue Femsatronic ignition coil that goes on the bracket under the tank. I’ve only seen the reddish colored versions of this coil, which are shaped identically to the blue one I have. The connections look identical as well. Does anyone know if there’s a difference between the blue and red coils, or is one just a later version of the same part?

My Model 85 is finally running after much advice from many of you. Hearty thanks to all of you! I'd like to know what gasoline-to-oil ratio you have successfully used in your bikes. I'm seeing everything from 40:1 to 100:1 recommended for two-stroke motorcycles in general. I'm sure that covers everything from pit bikes to high-level motocross racers. What actually works with the trials and trail bike Bultaco engines? My bike will be used in an amateur video production, so very low smoke output is important. What works, gents?
