1976 Bultaco Sherpa T 350 basket case roller for parts. Missing head, cylinder, triple tree and handlebars. Bottom end turns over, good wheels, tank, seat pan, pipe, etc. The real deal here is the new never installed VAPE electronic ignition #7269799AC with instructions. Does anyone know how to get a replacement Certificate of Origin for a Bultaco in the US? I lost mine years ago. My Sherpa T 199 was originally sold by Cycle Sport Bultaco in Houston Texas. I am trying to get it registered in Massachusetts.

Hello All wonder if you can help me. I have sherpa 325 and wonder if you can get a modified top yoke where the handle bars brackets are more forward instead of the standard ones where the bar brackets lean back? I hope this make sense. Many thanks

There seemed to be some interest in some recent posts I made about Bul clutch upgrades, so I thought I might post a few engine related pics that might be of interest too. These are just simple homemade bits that make life easier if you do lots of Bul engines. First off we have what looks like four bits of 2 x 4 screwed together, and that's exactly what it is. Hardly high tech but very very useful for assembling and disassembling Bul engines. The shafts hang down into the opening so the engine lies flat and stable on the bench. Much nicer than having it wobble around on timbers and worth spending 10 minutes to make. Next is the tool I use to push…

Does anyone know where I can get a stick-on B&W number plate for my (1967) Sherpa. I've found a few places that do rectangular ones, but non that do those old 60's style B&W ones that will stick to the rear mudguard. I dont really want to mount a flat plate, Id rather stick one on so it bends round the rear mudguard without sticking out.

Does anyone know the maximum overbore for an M116 Alpina? When I bought mine 20-odd years ago it had been left outside with the head off and no piston, just a sad rusty con rod flapping around in the cylinder. A quick measurement with vernier calipers shows the bore is already at 83.8-something mm, so probably was on second overbore (83.75) already, and it is quite rusty. It might just clean up to 84mm, but that could be wishful thinking. I know that at some point they went to a thicker liner that could be bored out further but I'm not sure when the change occured. Currently the liner is about 3.6mm wall thickness so would have been about 3.85mm or so when new. I see ther…

Hi, I have a Sherpa 340, which I'am rebuilding, the bike is in a let's call it good condition beside of some parts. One of the main issues are the side cases where some alumium of the embelms are broken off, (can be fixed with fluid / kned metal). My concerns are the impacts that are visible and caused cracks on both side cases. I searched already E-Bay, dealers worldwide for gettimg replacement cases, but did not found any. I have owned this 1967 Bultaco Sherpa T for ages, it was the first bike I bought and rode.Originally bought in 1982 for £400, I did some competitions on it then sold it when I was skint.Years later bought it back off the chap I sold it to, he needed the money, but it was in bits in a box then. He had road registered it and had it taxed and running on the road at one point. So it does have a number registration YMO 215F.I did a few more competitions on it, but it needed a restoration even back then. There was no working front brake when I last rode it back in the early 90's.Its sat in the corner of my garage getting dusty since then. So I've now decided to fully restore it…

A few weeks ago I made a mistake - I left the fuel tap on, which coincided with a stuck float in the carb, went into the garage after being away for a week to a strong smell of petrol. Stripped and cleaned the carb and all sorted. But, today decided to repaint the exhaust, so started to remove it when petrol started pouring out of the exhaust port! I put a tray underneath, removed the plug and gently turned over the engine - got about half a litre out so far… I’ve squirted a bit of oil down the plug hole and turned the engine over a few times, but the question is will I have done any damage? I have an M85 frame from an Alpina and wonder how different, if at all, it is to the Sherpa of the same year. I have a Sherpa motor for the same year and would like to make into a complete Sherpa if the rake, trail and wheelbase are the same.

Hi all, Hope that you can help! I am currently in the process of restoring my Dad's old Bultaco Pursang Mk5 125cc and have stumbled across wiring problems. The project is for his 60th birthday and was left to rust in his shed for over 40 years! I'll add some pics below to show progress. The engine has been rebuilt recently and I was told that I was lucky to have a functioning Coil and Stator as he told me that the engine was sparking when it left his shop.
