I have seen new OSSA dealership announcements and rumors online regarding who it will be, but still no specific mention of who the US OSSA importer is and the status of bike availability. Anyone know who the importer is, or are we in double secret probation.

I have a 73 MAR, but it appears many OSSA models are similar regarding the shifter shaft and the O rings that seal the shaft. My MAR has a splined stub on both sides of the engine, and could be run as left or right side shift. The O ring in the clutch cover is easily replaced by removing the clutch cover. With the clutch cover removed, can the shifter shaft be removed to replace the right side O ring or must the cases be split to replace the O ring. When I had the clutch cover removed previously, I noticed there was quite a bit of movement where possibly the shaft could be removed, but I did not attempt it.

Hi I'm wondering if any has modified the rear brake on a Ossa Mar to remove the cable and convert into a direct link pull. If so how is this done and does it improve the rear brake action at all. Many thanks

Hi all I’ve just picked up an Ossa 300 - 2014. It’s got the updated battery pack helper on the front end with the AAA battery it’s got a decent spark, but it just won’t start i cannot hear the fuel pump at all, ive cleaned the injector and tested that with a 9V battery and it’s working fine when are you meant to hear the pump prime? First/second kick? I have the fuel line off the injector and nothing is coming out

Folllowing on from the previous discussion, I thought I should sort some out for my fibreglass tank as the alloy tank ones are a different shape, I could vaguely make out the shape of some original decals on this tank so to top half should be about right. However going through my Spanish Trials Bikes Book and The Ossa Collectors Guide book there are no really good photos of the tank for the lower half. So based on what I could see do these look right? They're going to be a right bugger to fit (nicely) due to the shape of the tank, i managed to crease these doing it quickly...

Ok guys, being a bit cheeky here. My Amal has had its day I feel so looking for an alternative carb. OKO seem to get a good review and I’m aware of all the copies and the preferred purchase site. What do people use 26 or 28 mm and most importantly what are the best jet sizes? It doesn’t say on the Ebay site what jets are in as standard when you purchase a carb.

Hello everybody, could someone please tell me lengths of spokes I need front and back for a 1975 250 MAR? I know I can buy them off the shelf from in motion but don't want the expense of stainless steel . Best regards, Colin.

I need to pull the magneto flywheel off on a '72 250 MAR. Probably a silly question, but which direction do I turn the flywheel nut? Clockwise or counterclockwise.

Hi, can anyone recommend how to remove the wheel bearings on my 1975 mar? I made the mistake of painting the hubs before I realised that they needed renewing I usually use a hammer and brass drift but before I attack them I was wondering if there was an easier way. Also what gauge are the spoke nipples? The spokes have polished up alright but the nipples are a bit mankey so I thought that I`d replace them. Cheers, Nigel.

Is there an emissions sticker for these bikes? I couldn't see it anywhere... I have a 2012 Explorer, but I suspect that TR280i would have it in the same location. Thanks!

My 250 almost always requires 2 kicks. If I stop and immediately restart, 1 kick will usually do. But if it's stopped long enough to walk a section, it will probably require 2 kicks to restart. One the other hand, if the bike has been sitting for months it may start on a single kick. My 280 is somewhat more recalcitrant. It probably takes an average of 2.5 kicks. I have some theories as to why this might be so, but I'm wondering if others have managed to make theirs a 1-kick starter. This really doesn't matter during practice or if ridden as a trail bike, but during a competition it saps my limited energy. Both bikes have Easy-Start kits. I'm a bit of a l…

Hi, back in the end of the 70s, I had an Ossa MAR? which had a yellow tank with a black stripe round it, similar to the MAR design, does anyone know who supplied them with a yellow tank? Thanks for looking. Dave
