Hey all, so I am about 250ish lbs with gear. Hoping this is the correct place to ask for correct gear. So I am wondering if I should upgrade my springs to something stiffer. I do trail ride on the trials, but its usually super rocky. I train in there so I can develop some balance and force myself to stand up. I have a feeling stiffer springs would be very beneficial for my weight, but asking for opinions? This is essentially what the terrain looks like. And if I should invest in Trials boots vs the MX boots I have now?

Hi. I have some old Sidi Zeros in very good condition, the problem is I am missing 4 of the straps which are different to the newer ones. Apparently they are now obsolete, so was wondering if anyone has some spares or a lead to some. Ive put up a picture to show the difference between old on the right and new type on the left. Thanks in advance Steve

I'd like to set up a small paint ball tank to fill my tires while on the road. Would carry the kit in my back pack. I purchased an adapter sold on Ebay that will allow you to get from the fitting on these tanks to a standard 1/8 NPT female threaded hole. From there you can add a gauge, quick disconnect, etc. I have some questions and am hoping perhaps someone has done this already. These tanks can hold many hundred of PSI's but my garage compressor is only good for around 120psi. If I'm using, say a 20 oz tank, would filling it up until I reach 120 give me enough air to top off most trials tires? That is, bring them from around 4 to 6 psi up to 16 or 18 psi for street…

Hi Guys, I am looking at getting myself a new set of trousers and was wondering what people think of the Jitsie Bolt trousers, The main reason I ask is that I am not really wanting to pay £100+ for trousers and I have seen the 2011 Gas Gas Jitsie Bolt trousers at a reduced price with one of the retailers at £70. Thanks Adam

I am getting back into trials after 25 years. All of the trials specific pants that I have seen seem to be skin tight and not designed for wearing knee braces underneath (i.e. for young riders with good knees). Vented MX/Offroad pants are too heavy and bulky. Does anybody make well-ventilated trials pants with room for knee braces? Thanks.

My second pair of Gaernes have bit the dust and fancy trying a pair of Stylmartins. Just wondered if anyone could offer advice on how the Stylmartins size up? For what it's worth I wear a 45 in Gaernes. I would prefer to go and try some on but it's a fair old round trip to a dealer, so generally works out cheaper to take an educated punt and risk the postage costs of a return... Thanks in advance

I have Gaerne oil boots with water proof liner, When new, the boots were very tight across my foot ( I have normal width feet) After the boots were broken in they are somewhat wider across my foot. I still can't wear heavy boot socks. I did see Toni Bou's training video and it appeared Toni was using a very thing sock ( Lycra maybe? ) What are these socks? Are they trials Specific? PS: It looks like Gaerne normal boots do not have the water proof liner, is this a good option? Tight boots Terry

Hi guys and gals, Ive decided to get back into trials after a 5 year hiatus. I have since realised the old lid is a bit out of date and doesnt comply with some of the ruleing here in South Aus. Ive done a bit of research and I think I will swing with the airoh, unfortunalty there are no local trials shops in my area that stock airoh trials helmets and id much prefer not to be left buying blind.. However I use an airoh fullface helmet for motocross and I highly recommend it. I was wondering if anyone knows how close the sizing is between the airoh models?

Hi everyone... Im about to start riding motorcycle trials and over here theres no much options when it comes to trails-specific-gear... Im mainly talking about Helmets and Boots.... is there any other option you think would worth trying... For example a BMX/skate helmet???... Those are pretty lightweight and offer "some" protection... I have no ideas to replace a soft, light trials boot... Anyone riding with some weird stuff i can find over here???

Garne boots are a good fit for me but they do not offer a lot of protection. Once aged a bit, they feel like bedroom slippers so I want something with more protection. I have been using MSR dual sport boots but they are obsolete. I just ordered some Alpinestars but when I tried them on, they are too narrow in the ball/ toe area and skinny in the calf area. Reviews suggest that SIDI is also small in the toe area. Is there another brand that is wide in the front, has plenty of room in the calf and offers better protection. How is the fit with Forma? One article reviewing trials boots even recommend these as trials boots. Has anyone tried them? htt…
