I have a road racing ACU licence, and with this i get discount at many many shops and companies, with Arai selling helmets with an official ACU discount at something like 40% off which is brilliant. Does anyone know if this translates to the trials world??? I'm in need of boots and a lid when i get a bike, hopefully within the week. I've got to wear ACL knee braces so will be getting some mx pants to fit them under, and have gloves, but still, if i could save some dosh... Thanks Bongo

I very rarely ride sections where my car is parked 20 yards away but more trail riding where my car is miles away and I’m just wondering what others, who ride similarly, take along with them. The things I take are carried in a backpack and include basic tools (sockets, Torx sockets, screw bits, pliers, spark p. wrench), spark plug, first aid, phone, tire pencil gauge, extra air filter, tire sealant, extra fuel, small flashlight, silicone tape, wire, zip ties, 2 chain quick links, and water. I don’t carry tire irons because I’ve had very good luck with sealants. I’m also not interested in clothing because that changes with the seasons but I’m wondering if I’m missing anyth…

Having chunky biceps has put me in a bit of a head spin as to what's best and sizing. I have searched the posts on here going back as far as 2014 trying to find a pair that'll fit the bill. My biceps are 35.5cm relaxed, and that's measured 5cm up from my inner elbow. Who makes elbow guards that fit the bigger arms? I've heard many good reports about Jitsie elbow guards, but fear they won't stretch enough for my biceps or forearm. Their sizing chart rates them stretched at what my arms are relaxed. As I don't live anywhere near a dealer I could try them on, even after lockdown has ended. My only option is to buy online. I would really appreciate some advice on sizing from …

I recently tried a Hebo lid, sized XL and was surprised to find it a reasonable fit. I usually wear medium, 58, in road lids. Is this the norm for trials lids?

Tried on a pair of these today and was pretty impressed with the fit and quality. However, being lined they feel like I would sweat like a turkish wrestler in a sauna wearing them in anything approaching a warm day..... Anyone had any experience of them and would care to comment? Thanks.

Here in Iran our style of trials riding is more like enduro, the mountains we got here are huge, vertical with loose dirt, the cross riders go up much easier than we do, we tend to sink in the dirt and get stuck half way, so in my case is it a good idea to put moto cross tires in the back, for better climbing in loose sandy dirt? By the way, are we greatly reducing the life spam of our trials bike, by constantly maxing out the throttle, and doing enduro type riding?

Gaerne Boots are popular and for good reason. Very comfortable. One thing is the soles do tend to get chewed up, at least mine did. I posted about the soles while back. I bought some Shoe Goo, and I have been pleasantly surprised at how well it fills in the deep ruts left by the pegs. I grabbed a tube of it and filled in the divots. Let it settle in for 48 hours before riding and it helps to have a plastic disposable knife or similar to smooth it out a bit before it hardens up. Lasted awhile and cheap. Just thought I'd pass it on.

  13. Hi all, I fitted a brand new apico lanyard switch to my mates bike this week and it has failed (stuck closed circuit) within the first ride today. After removing the switch from the bars to check the connections underneath it started working again... Has anyone known an issue like this before? Is it possible that the part from eBay is a fake? Any pointers greatly appreciated!

I looking for some pics of the oldshool MPA Fantic style helmets, the ones with the little visors and came with the blue and red square (Fantic) decals to stick on them. The closest i can find when Googlin is that infamous pic of big john. Cheers:)

Hi Having taken the plunge and got a couple of Oset bikes for the children, I would like to get them kitted out with at least the minimum for them to practice on, rather than cycle helmet & Wellies. One takes size 8 childrens shoes and has a 52cm head circ. The other takes size 9 childrens shoes, but has a 49cm head circ. Having looked on the internet it appears that there are only motorcross style helmets and boots available. Does anyone else have any ideas if I can get trials specific stuff. Many thanks Andy
