Hope It's not a bother, but could someone post a photo of their chain oiler adjustment screw? I've put in about 4 hours trying to make one that will seal up when tightened down. Does it have a tapered seat, or like a carb air screw? I've flushed it out and installed a screw just to keep water and dirt out for now. I know there are suppose to be no such thing as a stupid question so if I become a distraction let me know. Thanks in advance.

Changed my RL250 which was using 40:1 mix to an RL325 which has had rebore, new piston and rings. Should I use same mix running engine in?

A friend has offered to show me his RL325 that's been sat some time. It was working when parked. Now apparently the gears won't select. He says it kicks over fine, but is stuck in neutral. Could it be anything more sinister than just sticky gummed up gears from years of sitting? Any other things to consider when looking at it? I see the chap from the owners club is a member on here.

This is my second posting on the above bike and although not trials related, the answers I received last time were helpful. Since then my grandson has been asking when the bike will be ready for him to ride! It goes at the moment but I need to fit the kill switch and I am not perfectly sure how to wire it. All the bikes I own run on points and the Suzuki has CDI. With points it is not a problem to rig up a switch because there is only one wire going to the coil. On the Suzuki there are two wires into the coil from the CDI. One is black with a white strip, the other white with a blue strip. I could try cutting either of the wires and fitting the switch but I am conce…

In my part of the world, there are no Whitlock frames or Beamish Suzukis to be had. My dentist who happens to be the best dentist I have ever seen, has commisioned me to build a custom Suzuki special. Here's what I've come up with so far. I will be finishing up the front skid plate bracket arrangement, doing footpeg mounts in the proper location and side panels, before stripping it down to finish all the welding, and paint it polish it etc. I plan to paint the frame silver, and do a two tone paint job on the tank, in the original pattern. Considering a nice burgundy metallic on silver for the tank, with polished alloy side panels. I will be soda blasting the entire eng…

Hi, got a silver engine 250, it's just been rebuilt, it wouldn't start, changed the plug and it ran fine, but now it will start but cut out then start straight away. Carbs been cleaned twice. Any ideas? Cheers

What sprocket sizes would you recommend for trials? My bike has 11x43 fitted, but it feels a bit too quick for me in first gear at its lowest revs... I'd like the bike to go slower when things are getting difficult. I'm a complete novice on a trials bike.

I saw this junk bike in a local ad (as mentioned in another post) and thought it would be fun to have something besides my OSSA to ride twin shock. Something to test the twinshock fans I have a classic of British engineering the Beamish Suzuki (Yellow, tank black engine 1980) and find it a bit tall on the foot rest position. Does anyone have any experience of lowering the pegs, dimensions etc ? Thanks in advance

Hi All - I read on here that rear shocks should be 340mm on a Beamish - however i have found a decent second hand pair of 360mm betors, will this be detrimental to the handling? what are teh consequences of longer shocks? many thanks

Hi all Mu query is not related to a trials bike but I am sure someone out there can help. I have just bought an old 82 model TS 185 to get my young grandson used to riding bikes. The clutch is slipping and needs to be replaced. My problem is that I have undone all screws holding the cover on but it won't budge!!! Something else is preventing me from removing it. Any ideas?? I am sure one of you people have pulled one of these bikes apart before. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

The clutch on my beamish sticks when started from cold, I had another beamish years ago and that did the same (both silver engine Beamish’s) they work fine once warmed up I’ve tried all types of oil without success, is this the norm?
