Pleased you have got it sorted, enjoy the bike.

An airline from an air compressor is the only satisfactory method of cleaning a carb, there simply is no other way.
-
Hi Charlie,
Please post when the info is available.

Each time Marquez overtook Rossi he swerved in so quickly as if to be trying to catch Rossi's wheel then slowed fractionally to do it again, why did race control not see that and take action?
As a fan of MotoGP more than any particular rider I think the biggest loser will be the sport itself if the championship is won or lost due to belated action by race stewards.

Hi Metisse, I too well remember those rubbish cars which on a certain tv programme always seem to finish underneath a piano but I have always had more respect for the bikes which when fitted with a decent ignition and carb perform rather better than they used to.
True story, our neighbour who was and still is a real car enthusiast back in the day purchased a new Austin Allegro in grey with square steering wheel which he used to commute to work, one morning he found it had a flat n/s rear tyre so out with the trolley jack but when he raised the car from the ground three windows popped out of their rubber seals due to body distortion, the car was gone faster than fast.

BSA mirror engineered the DKW design to get a right hand side gear change, left foot rear brake, this redesign obviously moved the final drive chain from right to left as well. An original DKW was on show at the Stafford Classic bike show.
No idea about the V1 I thought that all of that stuff was a product of the Peenemunde research facility where scientists worked who after the war ended moved to the USA and started what turned into the Apollo missions.

Interesting comments but the works Bantams ? anybody???
-
I know very little about these bikes which I believe were ridden by Dave Rowlands and Mick Bowers, do any of them remain, were they very special. If BSA had perseverd with them might they have had a Bultaco beater?

Have a read here http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/28407-the-beta-clutch-fix/ on the Beta pages, this does sometimes apply similarly to other makes.

What do the WRC cars run anyone know?
-
And not one of them fitted with a Peco exhaust, the Greeves front pipe being longer.
Villiers Services have 1 3/4" front pipes for both the round iron cylinder and the alloy square type.
-
No idea what type of fuel tap you require but I get them from Autohose of Stoke on Trent, they always have stand at the Stafford bike show.
-
Most of the recently built Villiers powered bikes have a longer front pipe usually looping round the frame down tube then meeting the silencer at the rear of the cylinder with the silencer over the gearbox.
The original exhaust fitted to the Greeves Scottish had a long pipe coming over the head before crossing to the right hand side of the bike at the rear of the tank, these bikes were said to perform better with that exhaust because of the long front pipe.

Keeping the outer seal that covers the bearing is more important as well as NOT squirting a jet was at the hub area.
-
Does anyone know if the TRS engine is the same or similar to that used in the JGas/Jotagas or a new and different engine altogether?
-
Should be emission free then!
-
Time to replace the brake pads on my bike is any one type or brand better than the rest, what about the sintered type?
Thank you
-
Riding a bike which you have built and developed yourself is so much more satisfying than just buying one.
-
Is the Sherco/Scorpa price the same now that the two are so similar?
-
The Rev 200 was definitely 250 based so things must have changed when the Evo was introduced.
-
Beta 200 if you can find one or a 250 othrwise.
-
This seems to be a common problem with rubber components not just automotive things, due I am told to the reduction of carbon used in manufacturing rubber.
-
Try Allens used trials parts http://www.allensusedtrialsspares.co.uk/
-
I set the valve clearance for the R cam to the Triumph recommended settings of 0.002" Inlet, 0.004" Exhaust adjusted when engine is cold, are these settings regarded as the most suitable?
Do most of you fellow Cub riders use the R cam or do you prefer the std type for trials.

Just for interest, the float in the carb is made from a cream/grey opaque plastic material, the new ones apparently from closed cell foam black in colour so worth keeping a check on your Dellorto float.
