my neighbour just had a baby boy
she was feeding it in the garden, when she finnished she asked me
"would you like to wind him"
so i replied
"cant i just give him a dead leg"
-
I will state the obvious (we have all done it im sure)
is there petrol in the tank??
is there water in the petrol??
never heard of injector probs yet but you never know, good luck
-
I know the initial price is important !
but the really important things are resale price and reliability/build quality.
cost of ownership,
lots of bikes are cheap to buy but absolutly worthless after a year, beta have a good rep for quality,so as long as the reliability is there the bike should still have a low cost of ownership.
Just look at harley davidsons,my fat boy has had the same secondhand value for about three years,so it costs in efect nothing to own.(thats what i tell the missus anyway)
-
Dabster, you are allways on the 4t posts???
i think you really want one???
are you just like r2???
a secret 4t lover who is frightened to COME OUT???
just take the step and admit you secret desiere???
GO 4T you know it makes sense????
-
Atom nail and head come to mind,
i tried to pay late last year, but my works pc wont let me down load or register,i did pm andy but i susspect he is a bit overloaded with us computer novices, asking dumb questions.
a po box address is exactly what we need,KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK<and happy new year.
i will send a couple of quid when i know where to send it.
-
j@mes hi
i ride the clubman rout, that was quite hard enough.
poor old experts, looked like they where pretty beat up by some of those bolders.
saw a fair few loop outs, what rout you on???
-
same old rubbish this year then...
just go and listen to a pre 65 trials bike if you want to hear loud.
and why is it the observers cant hear my 4rt waiting at there section???i am forever having to shout.
and the reply is sorry mate did not hear you.
most trials i go to you could let a bomb off and no one would hear it.
-
saw a gas gas yesterday (new years day) on the dartmoor trial
the whole front end fell off, looked like the stearer tube had broken in half.
is this common? i know a few years back they had frame probs,??????
-
munch
look at rabids picture
thats what i am going on,a small expansion box with a outlet pipe at 30?% to the main body and it looks to be welded in,cant remember from the dirt bike show,
have you seen an 07 in action??
-
mattylad
you miss the point the noise is restricted when you buy the bike..
no matter how quiet a bike is someone will allways take out the restrictors thinking they get more power,in most cases that is not even true.
honda seem to have addressed this with the new pipe, welded in restrictors,
bet someone still drills them out.
-
I havent got a ride in either the ssdt or the colonial, did not enter them though, does that mean i am gay
"yippi run be free"
-
Slapshot, Not just the ssdt.
your dresses are really fetching aswell,
-
dont worry to much about re sale
when my 200 was up for the chop i got a brand new 250 top end from johnboy, for just over 200 quid
fitted it and sold the bike as a fresh rebuild 250 no probs.
still got the 200 barrel and piston(for a future project???)
-
i am not happy
tried the game on my 4rt but it was not compatible..
no bloody carb to fiddle with, but it does interface with there own software ,at a price of course.
dont you just hate it when you NEVER get carb probs!!!!!!
-
love it good old TC banter
as i said DD cant wait for you lot to actually win a world round ,let alone be world champs(rugby world cup comming up) that should be good.
keep up the good work
stefan is a kiwi.next you will be telling us the allblacks are aussie
-
washing no probs.
but dont forget it will need re treating to stay waterproof.
they are supposed to be worth lots of money now.
-
Spot on ER
i had a 200 beta in 99.
it was a fantastic bike even at 17.5 stone it had plenty of power.
as i have said elseware most people are over biked,i think i am right in saying john lampkin helped beta develope the 200 beta for the british market,he never understood why it was not more popular
-
HEY DD
cant wait for the first aussie trials world champ, recon i will have to wait a long time, what are the ashes anyway?
.
-
Tmx friday ran the story ,why did miss phillips win the bbc sports person of the year?
now i am not a horse person, dont hate them either, the story says why no motorcyclists?
i have ridden a bike all my life,i do not even have a car licence,in my oppinion the motorcyclists worse enemy is themselvs
i love all bikes from mopeds to crotch rockets,i ride a harley(in the summer ,scooter in the winter)
some of my harley mates hate jab bikes, road guys hate offroaders, gitters hate hunchback leather boys, trialsers hate vespas, the list goes on and on.
one real old mate of mine did over 100,000 miles on an mz 250 touring brittain and europe,he was more of a biker than the people who used to ride a 200 mph rice burner on a sunday,
my point(finnally)is if we stuck together as one voice we would have the numbers to vote, not just on a tv award but ,really important stuff aswell.
all the horse people just proved what sticking together can achive.
-
Sorry to go off topic a bit ,but how big is the trials comunity over there?
we in the southwest of the uk have some really good areas to ride (exmoor and dartmoor)and plenty of clubs/riders.
it seems you have the open space but riders are spread out, dont know which is best.
must be nice to put in big offroad loops, lots of lads in the uk dont even register there bikes for road use,
as 99% of trials are small multi lap events.
-
seven and a half hour drive to ride a five hour trial, you guys are mad
i love trialing and regularly travel 2.5 hours to ride but you guys are hard core
-
just got the 80cc big bore kit for my fantic caballero 06 model,
will let you know how it goes, splurge says 22 bhp at 12500 rpm cant wait.
and only 15 quid road tax,,
-
never had a trialer that would fully dissengage the clutch when cold,no matter who made it.
the only problem with some of the recomended oils is price,i know we should not gripe about a couple of quid ,but the recomended 4rt oil is well over twice the price of the oil i use.and this stuff aint cheap.
just remember never to point you bike at anything when it first goes into gear,
i put a big black wheelspin on a parquet floor in our dinning room a few years back, thought it would be funny to put a new trialer under the christmas tree, then when i had a few beers thought it would be even funnier to ride it in the house. bad move.
and would you believe it the missus band me from indoor trials!!!!!!!!!!
-
when you order the two stage unit, does the supplier put both maps on for you ?
i am so scared of computers, if i did it myself i would blow the bloody thing up.
will the switch fit fat bars?
-
Leave the restrictor on the tail pipe, its no worse than a two stroke then.
if people take the restrictor off what do you expect???????
