clip 2nd notch from bottom , mixture screw 3 to 3.5 turns out .... oil 70 cc of good synthetic in 5 litres of good fuel. if its that smoky could be a new set of rings required and repack exhaust and clean out front and middle pipe.

Try MRS Sherco they have got a insurance firm on board as part of their sponsors this year, and i think it was around
  3. i bet you do at that sort of price!.
  4. theres 2 o rings in there that sit behind the sprocket bush one slightly bigger than the other make sure you replace these as well.

a point worth checking is to run the short as you described with the fan running and take a voltage at the fan which should be no more than 12v. just recently i had a faulty voltage regulator that was allowing more than 12v and damaged the fan on a gasgas by the way. it was that knackered that it provided this with the earth removed(then it should not work) on the regulater and when earthed only worked itermittantly.

have a quick look on your gearbox layshaft and check that you have no oil leaking at all near the gearbox sprocket. just recently i had the collar that sits inboard of the sprocket break and this pushes onto 2 seals and was letting in water
  7. have a look at repsol, bvm, or steve saunders supply it, thats 5/30 mineral i think.

sounds like your pilot jet could be partially blocked, take it out and give it a good poke through with something then blow it through with air line or carb cleaner. whilst carb apart check needle height is correct , and float level adjusted correctly. You can find this info on dellorto website or eurocarb( i think) via google. when all is done and you have it running again make sure you have your air/ fuel mixture screw set right when idling, best to let the engine warm up a bit then turn the mixture screw in or out until engine runs a little faster, probably start by coming out first as this gives more fuel just a quarter of a turn at a time. hope this helps.

check earth wiring from cdi and if thats all ok try disconnecting the cut out switch as it could be tracking out to earth, could also be a dodgy plug cap, try one thing at a time and test the bike.
  10. go to NO TOIL boys ..sooo easy to use and clean with their cleaner its unreal. Have been using on 3 bikes for 2 years and would not go back to any other product. Wash in your kitchen sink , no mess no risidual oil left as its bio degradable. The protection it affords is very good, never had crap get through it on twin air filters.
  11. try bvm stroud.
  12. nikwax very good stuff
  13. also oxford ixion and berkhamsted mcc just google them or acu website link.

go for the old style thermo that fits in the top hose and rewire from that back to existing wiring. the problem with the stats in the top of the rad is that the coolant must be visable from your filler cap hole so it surrounds the stat or it wont work. check also that your water pump is working correctly and circulating the coolant.
  15. might be a good idea if what rules are being implemented on the day posted where you sign on as well as a reminder.
  16. try using a good tight fit torx bit and tap in dead square. lay the bike on its side so you can push down hard whilst undoing.
  17. best stuff since sliced bread. get ours from racespec in half gallon can. soooo easy to use and clean. most moto x riders i know use it and their filters attract more crap than a trials bike.
  18. one thing about the sherco is that you cant repack the exhaust, you have to buy a new one which costs about 150 pound
  19. they are not measured when tipped upside down. the carb has to be at an angle with the float needle not depressed. visit kehin website. http://www.keihin-us.com/tune.htm
  20. dexron iid atf 400cc is plenty.
  21. have a look at the citroen dispatch combi 6 or fiat or peugeot equivelent models. all 6 seater window vans and back 3 seats just unclip and can be removed out of sliding side door. its possible to get 3 bikes in but more comfortably with 2 and your gear and sill leaves 3 seats available in the front. very good motors and cheap to run. go for the 2.0 HDI if you can afford it.
  22. available on berko homepage.
  23. try this link then find your year model then the txt boy . http://www.gasgasmuseum.com/
  24. us dads just dont like to think of the bad things happening Alex. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
  25. check the small black and white earth wire from your cdi plug it might look ok but they can break just inside cdi plug. replace with larger wire.
