    240 exhaust

I don't know the geography real well ...., but contact Chris@ classictrials ... he can sort out any exhaust problem you've got !!! Glenn
  2. Sliding seals yes ,(as in forks ,shocks etc.). But I think you may have issues with a rotating shaft ,ie.crankcase seals, but may work fine on kickstarter and shifter shaft due to there limited travel... just my 2 pence Glenn
  3. That makes perfect sense to me !!!
  4. " EPIC " I think that sums it up ... Glenn
  5. Looks better than the new one !!!
  6. I know my vote doesn't count in your world but as to trials in general ... I'm a 51 year old trials rider that returned to the sport after a 35 year hiatus... When I started riding trials back in the 70's, Mick was the man and the Tl125 was the new bike on the market. Stopping in a section while balenced with control was allowed ,put a foot down when stopped was a five . We worked hard to learn how to do a proper floater/pivot turn on our back wheel in as small a space as possible, when you walked a section you planned where your back tire would be so you would always keep moving forward . The bike had to steer quite well and yet the front end had to be light so you could turn with the footpegs and throttle on the back wheel. The very best riders of the day were the smoothest , most flowing guys. They rareley if ever spun a tire . We didn't have Minders telling us what to do , you figured it out on your own! When I got reintroduced to trials in late 04' I was amazed watching the pros due their thing . Then I went to ride my first(again) event in 2005 . As I watched and rode I could hardly make sense of the scoring , I'd have given out alot of 5's where folks cleaned sections ... But I still compete whenever possable and I don't think I've ever riden a event that I didn't have fun... And I firmly believe sections do not have to be dangerous to take points... It's just not required ! Anyways thats this old farts rant ... Let's just go riding !!! Glenn
  7. Try the TY shop there in the UK , They have the Betors made just for the ty80 , and they may work well on your whitehawk ...We had some on our ty80 before I enlarged it and they worked well. I put some cheap ebay shocks on the whitehawk replica I built for my son to get the length I was after , and on those the spring rates are about right , but the dampening is way to stiff . (ie. off the bike and springless they are stiffer than my Falcolns !). But as they have worn some they've got a little better... And I really can't justify custom 12.5 inch shocks !!! Glenn
  8. I've got a couple stock 240 tanks in decent shape , if you need one PM me and pay for postage ... Glenn
  9. Well Congrats ! But how did he do in the race , and where is the video ... What happens in vegas , stays in vegas.! Glenn
  10. Looks like the revolution has started ... Linear power ... no smoke ... no noise and you can't stall it ... I wonder if retro kits may become available ?
  11. I'll stick with my trusty old 240 pro ,thank you.... Glenn
  12. Nice Vid , Beautiful venue ...
  13. I was reading this and was about to post the same comment as Cope ... I've found (after destroying many grips )That the Trials Shops in house grips last the best for me . With bar ends and a aluminum domino throttle tube ,along with the bearing bar end (which took some dremel work to fit into the metal tube correctly) . I have no issue's with grips spinning and /or tearing from me crashing or leaning the bike against a tree or rock as always happens when walking the sections ... Glenn
  14. I'm in again :)Just a can't miss event in my book !!!!! Keith and Jim ; Thanks again !!! Glenn
  15. Your so right Copey ... When I was stationed at Nellis AFB back in the 80's , I used to make the same commute every other weekend . Either to Glendale or Palm Springs ... I would think a truck to load bike and rider after the race would be a wise idea ! Or it could be script for a reality tv show "stupid is ,as stupid does !" Good luck with the adventure though Glenn
  16. Sounds like a honda trail 90 with the dual range gearbox ....
  17. Beautiful bike ! But shouldn't George grow just a little so he can turn better without the "tiller" top yoke ???? Glenn
  18. Just great to see my childhood (and still today ) Hero ( BERNIE!) out on a trials bike ! What has he been doing with himself the last few years ??? I must go read his book again ... Glenn
  19. Just have to add Malcom Smith , and I think maybe Jim Pomeroy too ... Glenn
  20. So does this mean I may have to get a modern bike to go with the trusty Fantic ?... Glenn
  21. And the minor detail of steep fork angle along with soft suspension and a trials bike can get quite entertaining at speed ... Although they can be a blast on tight single track trails ,at times you can embarrass your moto x and enduro buddies Glenn
