    TY80

Ditto , get a Domino slow tube throttle to go along with your throttle stop . It's all I ever came up with to slow my son's down a little !! Glenn
  2. Is it a forward kick Motor ? If so , you may have one of the ever elusive 200 pro's !... (thought by many to be the best fantic twinshock , but pretty scarce ...) Glenn
  3. Brought a tear to my eye ... Lucky Dad !
  4. But , Patrick is a outstanding young man too !......... Are you ?

    TY80 Starting

Clean your carb , it's most likely to fat to fire back up ... My son's ty80 still starts first or second kick even though it needs a new top end ! And if that doesn't do the trick , make sure the point gap is correct , they are very sensitive to their timing ... And I've got a fresh ported top end to go on the boys Whitehawk replica , just haven't got a round'toit yet ! It still lives ! Glenn And yeah that was the first time he rode it after the suspension and wheel swap and he's only 10 there ... I know " get off your a$$ and finish the kids bike !!!!! "
  7. Hi , Contact Mike at http://www.tryalsshop.com/ , He will know all there is to know about trials in your area ,and offers riding classes too ... There is alot of riding in N.E.too . But even if you just get the basic trials techniques down , You'll become a faster/smoother enduro rider ,and just a better all around rider. And once you enter a trials event , you may never go back to enduros , The folks that ride trials (as a whole) are that great ! You'll find strangers wanting to help , and give you pointers on sections , It is just so much fun !!! Glenn

    2 Wheel Drive SWM

I don't know about a Trials version , But how about a pro trials rider on a 2wd bike ? http://www.christini.com/ Check it out , It must work ....
  9. Great explanation Dan ... The last event I rode with the ITSA guys , The Guru (Bob Ginder) from B&J racing rode my trusty fantic for a few minutes and the proceeded to show me where to move my bars and levers , And we also tweaked my clutch adjustment a tad ... Like you stated , I'm a old enduro guy and had my levers and bars set like I would on a enduro bike . He rolled the bars forward just a tad from where I had them and lifted my levers WAY up ... I rode around for a few minutes to get used to the change (that felt really strange at first )But found my control improving noticeably in a few minutes ... Again,Thanks Bob !!! Glenn

    Fantic 403?

If the rest of the bike is in decent shape and it's cheap , It is worth the effort ... FANTICS ROCK !!!! Just put the kicker on the new shaft with some loctite ... And make sure it stays tight ... Glenn And look at the bike , I've seen more than one where the kicker itself was broke and the shaft was fine ... Pivot pin breaks ...
  11. I thought I heard a while back he was doing some enduro type stuff ??? I'm sure someone from the STRA knows what he's up to lately ... Glenn
  12. What a Great Christmas present !! Isn't the web just wonderfull sometimes ? Merry Christmas to all , and a happy New year !!! Glenn
  13. What can I say but ; THANK YOU !!!! Glenn MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !!!
  14. Rebuild your M/C ... Seals can leak when sitting and not when in use . And if fluid is coming out , air has to be getting in to displace it,or it would cause a slight vacuum and not leak ! Glenn
  15. And did you notice he never stopped and hopped !!!!
  16. Best 50th birthday present so far ! That is what trials is to me ! thanks for that clip ALL of those clips !!!
  17. Sorry guys just kidding , but you would not beleive what folks will pay to keep their vespa's in top form ... Yeah I switched from cars to working on motorcycles, scooters , and the random moped . And oh yeah , I'm building these too to pass my free time ! alot more rewarding than cars are these days And yeah , thats a copper plated frame... Wait to ya see the vtwin 250 we got cookin'
  18. I found a competitive sidecar for Bob and PW ... Just think , they could ride it to events and save on transportation costs too !
  19. Contact Bob Wright in the UK. He will know what your after
  20. I have to agree ... The last new trials bike I saw in a dealership was a Honda Reflex ,with lights and turn signals etc. and I thought to myself what a wannabe !(I know with a few minor mods they turned out to be a real trials bike ) And as Copey said the extreme sport side of our sport ain't really what trials is all about ! I've got friends that have been riding for years and have watched me play in my yard that are afraid? to even swing a leg over one of my kids bikes and give it a go ... (and your right , only trials riders I know and trust get to hop around on my trusty 240 ! ) But it is truly a family sport at the grassroots level and hard to get folks to try it . No instant gratification sums it up quite well ! Ya gotta work and practice it ! it takes some effort and commitment ! Glenn

    fantic silencer

Follow the links in this thread http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/30840-240-pro-replacement-silencer-review/ I just received one of Stefano's silencers for my 240 and it's alot better part than the WES it's replacing . And my bike works better with it on too ! If memory serves he makes one for the 125/200 too . Glenn
