  4. Hi my mate has just ordered one of these genuine style ones from www.inmotiontrials.com , they are in the UK
  5. why dont you ask GasGas UK!
  6. If the new bike was a "Raga replica" then surely Raga would be riding it first before the public get their hands on it! Who knows, he may debut one at the first WTC round? Could also be (and possibly is ) a load of waffle!
  7. There is a metal brakcet that bolts to the outside of the case using the existing case screws. Martin Matthews has them , contact him through his website - HERE
  8. One major point that everybody is missing here is the fact that the main reason why 99% of twinshocks cost a "few quid" to buy or restore is the simple fact that they are all WORN OUT and 25-30 -35 years old! Unless you are REALLY LUCKY and find yourself a nearly new /unused one for sale , then this usually won't be cheap either. Basically whichever twinshock you buy - tatty or fully restored , either way you will eventually have to part with " a few quid" Think about it!
  9. Wayne , where is the thread on TODO Trial site? Ta
  10. ALL sherpas had DIFFERENT timing to each other , no Clymer or haynes manual will help. Speak to Bultaco UK and tell them your engine no. The correct timing on Sherpas is critical.
  11. It is not impossible because it has been done and a friend of mine has also done the same convertion to his 340 this year. The righthand swing arm pivot point is very narrow and fits betwwen the frame and clutch case. The same is done on the left side but there is more room to do the job a bit better. Will hopefully be able to post some pics next week. Thanks
  12. Read my post again - i AM talking about the John reynolds bike with the grey frame - not Vesty's bike which yes has a white frame , which is actually situated next to me.
  13. On the rear frame of the Reynolds bike that i have seen (different to the one in the picture!) -the swingarm is much longer and goes right up to just behind the front sprocket and has no swingarm spindle, just bosses between the cases and frame. It also has a silver frame and airbox and exhaust like vestys (to be sold on ebay today ) 340. There were 2 different bikes that John Reynolds rode that were modded one after the other. The one i know of is still owned by an ex comerfords employee.
  14. The John Reynolds bike 'looks' more standard cosmetically , but the swinarm is longer to compensate for the further forward swingarm pivot. As Woody says it does not have a swingarm spindle but two pivot points either side of the engine between the frame and cases.
  15. The only one and original one - there was only one made -all others are copies. (The John Reynolds bike is much different and was built after this one) Vesty rode this in the 83 SSDT-
  16. TLM 260- take a closer look at the engine, front and rear sprocket guards and the swingarm -a MK15 pursang it aint ! Anyway MK15 pursang was 'very closely based' on a suzuki RM engine - if you know what i mean!!
  17. I noticed the carbon fuel tank extends right down level with the bottom of the shock and the fuel pump is mounted on the bottom of the tank - but also the big banjo and hose on the underside of the pump is level with the sump plate without any protection at all! First rock that you would slide over would wipe out the fuel pump!! - good design!! It did have an Ohlin shock and titanium front pipe though!
  18. Have got a new 300 pro which came with 11/41 for some reason 1st and 2nd feels a little too fast but 3rd is ok tried a 10t (with the 41 rear ) yesterday and it span up too much, also 3rd felt like 2nd and 1st was a little too slow Will try 11/42 and see how that goes. I like the power as it is and don't think i will bother with the flywheel weight , bike is very smooth and tractable and certainly not snappy like my mates 250 EVO! Does anybody know if 41t is std ? as i thought it should be 42t! Thanks
