So you would then be running to the <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central> Andy was at
Thanks for reply Cota Kid
Unfortunately, if it's to be believed, I heard at our trial today that the life of the 4 stroke will be short lived as the FIM are not making them compulsary
I have a 250 gas gas 02. no real problems just the usual maintainence. Power suits mefine but i found a 280 to severe for me. If i weighed less and wanted a gas gas i would consider a 200
I go to Whites at Darlington so i was interested in Johnies comments.
However Al the Spanner graces my bike with his Gas Gas hands or he is willing to give you a lot of technical info if you require it to complete the job yourself. Obviously this is provided you purchased the bike from Whites in the first place as there are some grey imports in the area. I find that the rappor i have with Whites goes a long way in making my mind up where i will purchase my next bike from and where i will buy spares and service from. However it's always a fine line for the dealer to under promise and over deliver. It could be that they were short staffed the day your bike was in or they had a lot of other work dropped on them at the last minute. You have used them a number of times and been happy you could give them another try or say in a friendly manner have you stopped washing the bikes and greasing the chains now for a specific reason ?
If your totally unhappy GO TO WHITES just ask PERCE
In 02 the factory could not get a sufficient amount of shift shaft springs so they sourced some from another supplier who unfortunately didn't harden the springs. This was the main problem for early pro's having gearbox problems however people are quick to slagg the marque off and they say the gearbox's are suspect. 03 onwards the problems are rare and you will find that the developement gas gas has done on the pro and continue to do is highly commendable. Your 04 will be fine once you have repaired it
Why do you remove the front pipe?
When the plates swell a significant amount the clutch lever becomes heavy to operate. it's very simple to dismantle the clutch but as everyone says you should change your oil first and often
It could cost a grand for an annual service on anything if you don't look after it in between. Saw Al the spanner servicing a few so i doubt the cost is anywhere near a grand
