4RT ECU RESET
If the ECU thinks the throttle is opening past 100%... You can test this by loosening the throttle cable enough so it will not pull it full open. If it then runs fine without issues you know it thinks its going past 100%. However with the fact that you don't get steady RPM's when opening slow it sounds like that isn't likely the issue.

Boots again
Haven’t had mine long enough to know about that, however they seem about the same quality as my old Alpinestars and Gearne’s and would expect them to last about the same. I do remember reading a few post about the first batch having a bit of quality control issues but all the recent posts I have seen as well as the few people I know with them seem to think they are decent...

Upgraded footpeg hardware
I am not sure I would go with different hangers on a 4RT/300RR, though upgrade to the pegs and bolts are fine in my mind. As Lineaway indicated the frame can be broken if you put on stronger hangers and take a big hit. I would rather replace a set of bent hangers then have to weld a frame. Hope that helps.

Boots again
Have a pair of the Alpinestars and also have flat feet. (Though I am not sure how mine would compare to yours... ) I like the protection they provide and the stiffer sole than the Gearne’s. The new Alpinestars are a touch narrower than the originals in the same size but not much and find them a more true to size fit. They don’t cause me any pain though there was some brak-in time as they are stiffer than Gearne’s overall. hope that helps...

One handed, on one wheel holding up a tree!! What happened next?
If you look close you can clearly see his hand on the bar still and finger on the front brake. Definitely a spectator behind him leaning against the tree.

Some interesting views on WTC / FIM
I think a combination of correctly setting/inspecting and a rule change is what is needed myself, but if I only had one to pick from I would say correctly inspected/set sections would be the more important what ever the rules are...

Helmet disinfectant
Not as fast but I find using a spray bottle of white vinegar over my helmet and then left to fully air out and then give it a good spray down with just water to remove the residual vinegar smell seems to disinfect mine fine.

Airoh TRR-S
The one thing I know for sure was my Airoh TRR ran small as many others told me they would. If your close to the top of the range for a size I would suggest going up a size.

4rt dog bone
I would expect the same, just press out the bearings and replace. I have seen images of some that got left so long they messed up the dog bone (elongated the openings) but that is a rare case caused by sever neglect.

Did it scare you ...
If the clutch is near the bite point and a little blip makes it jump you might also consider changing the type of transmission oil to something a little thicker to get a more progressive clutch action. I know a lot of Gas Gas owners that use very thin oil like ATF, GRO, or another thin oil. On the thinner side I like Maxima MTL 75 witch seems to be more progressive over the ATF but still quick overall, however the Maxima 80 or 85's can slow the clutch action down a bit more however will feel more fluid drag when cold so be aware. Not sure this is helpful but hope so. Good luck and keep at it!

no stop
I like that idea, however I would think you would still need a minimum limit for spectators and maximum limit to keep the riders moving and might also need a maximum total limit to keep things flowing as well. My 2 cents. Accessing we even ever see this as a possibility.

4RT Auto-Retract Sidestand Fix?
The stock stand dose this over time without any modification. When it happened on my 07 I found the stand didn’t sit very nice on my garage floor but did work. Wasn’t long after that it was nearly folding forward and collapsing on its self. To move the top spring post forward in my opinion is a better modification as over time you can re-weld the stand and keep it working longer before it starts to collapse again and have a better footing when on its stand.

Toni Bou finishes clean but has a 5!
At the very least I would think they should have received a points penalty for the helmet... I would like to have seen an extra 10 points off that rider for that one.

4RT Auto-Retract Sidestand Fix?
the 2018 has a new stand... Though I don't know if it auto retracts or not as I haven't seen one in person to verify, but would expect it dose.

4RT Auto-Retract Sidestand Fix?
My 2007 had the auto retract stand, it started to ware and sat to far forward over time so I decided to try the Mitani stand. They look a bit strange but a fantastic bit of kit over all. Only way to over come it would be to move the mounting location of the spring forward enough so it pulled that direction when past vertical but high enough so when back words it would keep it up when folded back. If you mess it up I would guess a new mounting bracket would likely be around $35 or so.

A break through moment, reliably starting a 125 GasGas
If this is working for you that is great. I however have to say that for me I have best luck when I match with Lineaways comment, my daughters 08 Gas Gas 125 is much easier to start with the piston at the top and in out of gear. The only other thing that really helped was re-jetting it.

MX clothing
I agree with scatman, I used a bit of MX gear at the start because that is what I had for trail riding but it wasn't long before I could see the benefit of trials gear. The best 2 pics of trials gear i got have been good trials boots and helmet. Note on helmet shape, I have an Airoh and a Hebo and both are great, the Airoh and Hebo in my opinion both have an intermediate oval shape and are the best trials helmet for the oval heads. Wulf Sport is very round, and the Jitsie I tried on was on the round side but not as round as the Wulf Sport. Hope you enjoy trials. Its the best sport ever in my opinion!

Montesa Cota 315 R Pdf Manual + Snappyer Gas Response?

Toni Bou finishes clean but has a 5!
I am with you... I have been riding trials now for about 6 years and don't argue my score even if I really thought I got a 2 and they are marking a 3 or what ever. I have admitted more than once my score of a 2 or 3 and then been told they only noticed 1 or 2. The funny part is that even admitting my score only once did the observer actually punched what I told them, the rest commented on only what they noticed and then punched what they had seen any way...

Choosing a new front tire.
Consider a set of SKF seals instead? They keep getting the best reviews from my friends and fellow riders. Just a thought.

Toni Bou finishes clean but has a 5!
Also remember that the standard rules in Japan are not the same as FIM and there is a good chance that even if they got FIM training the habit would be to score with at least an edge of typical Japanese scoring. And they wouldn't even be doing it on purpose.

Footpegs: S3 hardrock / hardrock curve
I have had the chance to use both, have the standard on my bike and took a ride on a friends TRS with the curved. If I was more of an advanced rider and was on the rear tire a lot and/or doing lots of really big up's I could see using the curved pegs but over all I both like and ride a lot better with the standard S3 Hard Rock aluminum. For reference if a club has 6 classes 1 to 6 with 1 being the low or novice class I ride the 3rd class, here 3rd = intermediate. (1st Novice, 2nd amateur, 3rd intermediate, 4th... etc.) My 2 cents.

Chain Adjuster Block
Good catch... your comment encouraged me to do a bit of looking and with what I can find, the only place I see that stop is on images of the factory bikes.
-
Chain Adjuster Block
That looks like a different setup entirely from what I am aware of. I have not seen one like that so wouldn’t really be able to accurately assess it without more information.

Chain Adjuster Block
Sorry not sure what your talking about... even taking a second and third look what I see would require the APICO cam shown in the picture for that stop to work correctly. I don't see where the CSP cam would work correctly through the whole range of the available swing-arm adjustment with the stop in question. Also, I am not talking about the protector bolt position...
