I would have thought 110 octane is to high, unless you also change the advance of the ignition, as it burns different from regular gas.

Met a fellow Beamish owner at Sunday's trial. Make a change from being the only one at the trials riding one.

To me, it looks like way to much oil.

Once the electronic ignition is on, it's fit and forget

I run four and a half psi all conditions in my IRC rear and five and a half psi in the front Michelin on my Beamish Suzuki.

50:1 with a modern oil is fine, it offers a greater film strength that the oils from the 70s don't, that why you can run at 50:1 instead of the mainly 20:1 the old oils needed. back on topic, how good is the spark, some look fine, but once in the engine and getting the fuel/air mix, it's just not good enough to fire the engine up. Id fit an electronic ignition if it was mine

100% is as high as you can go, so yes its full synth

I have some OZO expert shocks they do the job just fine. have won my class 4 out of my 9 trials, with also 4 seconds places. some get to hung up on what kit to get. where most wouldn't tell what brand of shocks they had on if they look the same

Wish there was a UK store selling the upandovers They are just what I'm after, sadly after P+P & import tax, they cost too much to ship from the USA.

Most of the Peak Classic trials are over an hour from me, but it doesn't put me off any. Just means I have to get up a bit earlier, its worth it though.

It was a good days sport, lots of new faces which is good. Glad I had the 4x4,my old car wouldn't have got up the muddy tracks lol

Been using it this past 18 months without any issues. 1 piece will easily make 3 Beamish filters.

Fit the longer brake arm off the rm. If you are going to be riding it in trials, you can't put the better front brake off the rm on it. Can we have a better pic of the forks tops from the front.

I have put my black engine Beamish next to a friends tc 250ty and the Beamish engine is smaller. I have always found it strange when people go on about how heavy a Beamish is, but you never hear them say that about the ty, which is heavier

The Beamish has to have a chrome frame, it's part of look and history of the bike. As for chrome paint, im sorry but it will just look a bodge to me. It's just a bright silver paint, you can see it a mile off. Don't be fooled by the chrome cap on the can, that isn't how the paint looks when used, I have a can, I tried it on a cover on an old yamaha fs1e. Just came out a very bright silver and soon goes to looking dirty. OK I guess for an old knacker, that you aren't bothered about.

You shouldn't need to alter the carb for a rebore unless you're doing a big bore 200-220cc upgrade.

It's always the way, isn't it. mine hasn't split, but it has a small buckle.

I wouldn't just leave them alone. they need to be welded up, just can look unsightly after.
