  1. Hi, It's clipped in at the top, push the clip forward then down at the top and it should release.
  2. Dump the old oil and use a proper trials specific oil such as Rock or Putoline Strawberry. You can safely run 70ml to five litres in a Beta, some people run less. I run 50ml to five litres in all my modern bikes, and 30ml to five litres in Vertigos.
  3. Take it back, let them sort it. A lack of diagnostic equipment is their problem not yours.
  4. I've used plenty of all balls kits and have never found them any better or worse than others, including OEM
  5. Head spacer or flywheel weight.
  6. No offence taken. The beauty of the trials community is that advice tends to be given on the basis of personal experience and the desire to see someone enjoying the sport on the correct bike rather than any financial gain, and that includes most good dealers
  7. Read the instructions that come with the meter, you have it set on multi cylinder not single.
  8. If you're not getting into the tight and technical it's pretty pointless buying a trials bike, that is what they are built for, not blasting up hill climbs. That aside I would be buying a Scorpa out of that lot, UK back up and parts availability is fantastic and the bike is also great to ride.
  9. Go and get a ride on a Vertigo 200.
  10. Too much oil will result in a lean fuel/air mixture. I've pulled the top end off a very hard used Vertigo (not for failure reasons) and can tell you 30ml is more than enough to keep it running spot on.
  11. Why use 40/45 if the recommended is 30? Too much is as bad as too little.
  12. Standard rear, same as just about any other modern trials bike. Front sprocket same as gasgas pro, ossa, TRS pre 19.
  13. Does it do it in both map switch positions.

    Electric start

Kickstart or Kickstart/Electric Start, those are the options. I think I should know, I'm a TRS dealer!

    Electric start

Yes it does have a kick start.
  16. What oil mix ratio are you running?
  17. I sell trials bikes both new and used for a living, that noise is completely normal for any bike fitted with the diaphragm type of clutch (GasGas, Scorpa, Sherco, TRS, Vertigo, Ossa) Some are quieter, some louder, but to varying degree they all make that noise.
  18. Completely normal, it's the clutch and they all do it.
  19. Welcome to the wonderful world of trials! Sounds very much like you need to clean out the carb, not a difficult job just a bit fiddly if you're not used to them. You'll also need to check the filter and air box are clean. Might be worth seeking advice from someone at your local club / practice venue, the trials community are very friendly and most will be glad to help.
  20. I can also confirm that the motor is built by Yamaha.
  21. Non Stop Trials, South Wales. Hire a brand new Montesa 4rt £60 for a half day, not training but a brilliant venue with everything from simple flat bits to expert grade areas. Ideal for trying out trials at your own pace.
  22. I've an 09 Gas Gas 250 which I am thinking of changing. I have recently been lucky to get to try a 2018 Beta 300 ss, a 2018 Sherco 250 factory, a 2017 Sherco 250 and a 2017 Montesa 4rt. I'm a novice and all felt superior to my Gas Gas but my favourite was the 4rt (closely followed by the Beta) the motor is just stunning and I was immediately able to tackle stuff I struggle with on my Gas Gas. I've read lots about a so called lack of grip but I thought the grip was incredible, even on the very greasy hills. Maybe it just suits my riding style?
