  1. All balls has the cheapest complete bearing kit. The cheapest solution is regular service.
  2. Probably Rising Sun, but Jim Snell passed away last week. Not sure if anyone is taking over his business.
  3. The cdi box on those would go bad. Very common. So what country are you in?
  4. Gas Gas out sourced each part almost. Thats why it got hard during all the financial hardships to get new vendors.
  5. There is a needle jet that could be missing causing the needle to stick. Thats not the stock carb.
  6. They have been called many things through the years. Not a new idea. It traps all things. Water, mud, dust etc.. I bought a bike that had them that had been sitting for a couple of years. Forks had huge pits in the chrome. Dumb idea. My first trials bike had a set. The bike came from the original inventor from 1971. I bought the bike in 1973. I could find a pic if anyone is really curious.

    Rev 3 Help Please!

All you had to do was verify with the gas line off. But not if you keep the bike in the house!
  8. Unfortunatly that might not be the case. Gas gas started making thier own brakes through the Hebo brand and they had a short longevity. Myself I would RUN away from a Gas Gas that old. Do a little research with real dealers on availibilty.
  9. So is the magnet/wrist strap on the handlebar. Seems I see no comment of having spark. I have a friend that bought one and it starts as easy as most 2 strokes. ( I have had a Gas Gas that WAS hard to start.)
  10. Why not go down another tooth on the front. And you might want to learn how to use the clutch. In trials we use it every single second. The chain tensioner is not the problem.
  11. I knew there was a reason I left this thread alone that first day!
  12. The fastest way around this was to by pass the thermostat or just connect 12 volts to the fan. This time if year the thermostat does not matter.
  13. Yeah, any upgrade you want 05 and newer. 2002 through 2004 was terrible years for the pro engine. No matter who says it. The pro motor when running is an incredible trials motor. It just had many issues to overcome.
  14. So whats the dealer say that you ordered them from? But it will be a battle as alot changed through the years and the 2002 was basically a proto type as everything was crap at best.

    2024?

Funny, we are just about to get the '23 model to the states.
  16. Beta started using the Keihin in 2008. Beta also tried the del orto in 1995 and went back to the Mikuni.
  17. The del orto is not an upgrade.
  18. You just crashed. Did you change the plug? Did you damage the kill switch? Are you sure you just did not flood the engine. Falling should not cause an ignition problem.
  19. Grab the flywheel and check for movement. It could need main bearings.
  20. Its just the plastic cover rubbing on the flywheel. Take it off and re-center. Nothing is really wrong.
  21. It goes through fairly easy without removing the swingarm, did one a few months back. Run string or wire to pull with.
  22. There is a reason the Beta is the top selling Bike in the World, 2 stroke wise. The Gasser and Trs feel great in the parking lot. The Sherco is cursed again with FI. The Montesa is built like a rock, but you do feel the weight. Good luck. Parts for all bikes are at worse a week away.
  23. Your legs are not supposed to be hugging the bike!
  24. The top hat holds the spring in place at the end of the shift shaft under the clutch basket. It is made to shear to save the shift shaft. Otherwise you might need a new shift shaft.
