Hi Malc...
sorry this if off topic, but do you have any idea where I might be able to find results online for last weeks Abergavenny trial??...would be good to see how badly i did !!!..or is it just a case of wait for the results in the post?
cheers ...
-
Hi Malcra..
I know you are away at the mo?///,.,,but if you see this post, are the results online anywhere...Would like to know how badly I did!!
-
If its a UK model bike, it will more than likely have one on...mine DID, but since I started trials whilst living abroad, (the bikes overseas dont have them), I prefer to take mine off, which I just did on the 05 that I bought a few months ago....personally in my VERY humble opinion I reckon they're much better without it.
-
Thats right gregkabob..just put new seals and oil in mine today
-
Good news...and certainly well deserved.
Well done Wiggy.
-
Fair points,,,and Im not trying to make excuses for any laziness but, (obviously) some people unfortunately just DONT have the time??..I for one will observe, and usually do observe a couple of times a year, but to be honest its only really when its an event I cant ride...ie a classic event or something...coz Sunday is usually my only free day...and on my free day I wanna Ride!!!!!....yep..I know..as my mum always used to say..i'm very selfish!
-
I think the bit I would like best is watching some NIMBY come storming towards me shouting your kid cant ride that motorbike here, and then calmly telling them...its OK..dont worry, its electric , then my grin would be as big as any of those kids in the pics!
-
Excellent....well done Bou..I bet the Honda boss is happy!!!!!!!!!
-
wow....you're lucky jetset. Just about every house insurer ive asked to add my trials bike, wont do it. I also just tried to get a multi bike policy from Carol Nash, who Ive been with for my road bike for years, and the quote was terrible so Im still looking for a policy for my road bike and beta together
-
Sorry I cant be of any DIRECT help, but you may want to speak to a guy called Peter Knight in Bath?..UK
He calls himself the Rotax man, and is very helpfull, he can also supply parts for the Aprilia engines. I bought an engine manual for my 1993 Climber from him.
I will try to find his phone number for you later, but you could probably find it from just doing a search on google....try searching for Peter Knight powersports.

Up to you Tone...
I would like any of those...its supposed to rain alot, so I guess Aggs or Kny might be best, but if it gets Mal out of bed lets go to Bwdly
-
Pleased you enjoyed it. You must be giving Tone a few tips by now though ..(hee-hee..hope he's reading this)
I expect you're right about Mals user name...I'll look out for his first posts!
I think with regard to the ditch, I'd have wound the bike off ..launched it across the whole lot, and let go, just before it gets nasty.!
Hope to see you soon...best wishes..STU
-
Hey..Andy and TOne...how did you old tarts get on today then
PS...Im hoping you'll let me know what Mals user name is Tone, now that he's on TC
-
dittto betarev3's comments
-
Blimey...wish Id gone to watch it now..looks like there were some amazing sections...glad I wasnt riding though!!...I'd have been COMPLETELY out of my league!
-
somewhere...(google it)..there are some really nice looking carbon ones for the Beta. They look really good, but I cant remember how much they are...something like a carbon/kevlar mix...think they were from a German shop
-
Sounds like a couple of old tarts ...making yer excuses etc etc.
Dont forget your handbags to put your spare knitting needles in.
-
yep...i agree, think the jitsie is better than the original one
-
-
Steve Saunders ones are good too...and reasonable price...available from bvm-moto.co.uk
He has 2 dvds, one called the cotswold way and I think the other is non stop 2000......they are BOTH money very well spent in my opinion.
-
Might take you up on that offer one day Roberto...in fact Im trying to find work in Spain and make the move...but I dont think its gonna be easy to find work. Got a couple of friends in Valencia area, so would LOVE to live there...but we'll see...its still a very long shot at the moment.
-
Bloomin eck...(said with as much surprise as I can muster!!!!)...well done Marky ...no, seriously..I shouldnt take the mikky..anyone who can get that low score on such a wreck of an old bike deserves my respect!!!
-
aww...bugger...marky is online reading this and I havent checked the scores yet..better do it quick so I can see what you're on about Marky and post a suitably witty reply SURELY..you pinky guys didnt kick my *** ...(cant have that)
-
LITTLE bit late this one, but thanks all at the Central Wales club for a very good trial on Boxing Day. Would love to see some results though if anyone can e-mail me some?
-
I too, would doubt that it is due to the flywheel weight. HOwever..I really prefer Beta's without the weight so you might want to try it anyway.
I guess you've already given the carb a good clean out??..clean air filter..new sparkie??
