Thanks Monty_Jon, actually ordered some Champions before your kind offer to supply.(in edit)

The often used argument is that if you have a modern front end lying about it makes economic sense to use it. However, everyone riding with standard forks then have to go to the considerable time and expense to compete on a level playing field.

BP4ES plugs are hard to come by (unless you know differently)so I was using a Champion N16Y which is the equivalent. Now they seem to be in short supply but I can get N16YC. The question is, although I know the C stands for copper, does it make any difference ?
Thanks

Was wrong, its was Walter Luft and Rotax, but it was Puch who had to give up due to SWM.
Article in Classic Dirt Bike No 16.
Also article on KTM trials in CDM No 18.
-
Might be wrong, sure I read an article stating that, will have to try and dig it out.
-
KTM used a Rotax motor, but couldn't get the rights as SWM had them at the time.
-
Have you spoken to Peter Knight & Martin Matthews re re-build ?

I use a big G clamp to put twisted sump guards back on !

As above but used meths and bearing fix ! Still working.

Hi Tam
Agree with your sentiments, I personally would allow air cooled mono's to ride on a no award basis, to discourage pot hunters.

Yes, you have to make an appointment for the inspection.

Know any friendly Police ?
When I took my SWM along to register it on a Q plate to check if it was listed stolen, I was told it had been registered previously and I could get the number back (

Are there any other DVLA within reach of you ?
Might get a different response, worth a call.
Have you checked that it was not previously registered with frame & engine no's, that age of bike it may well have.

Advertise a reward for return on Gumtree.

Have you tried Carol Nash ?
-
You could try a bead of silicon about 2mm continuous, but let it go off before offering up the cover.
-
-
No, a solo, seem to remember they were mounted under the swinging arm.
-
You might be better looking for an air cooled mono shock if its only for playing on, a good one will be a lot cheaper than a good Fantic twin shock.
-
Was there a leaf sprung (rear) trials bike in central Scotland 20 or more years ago ?
A Fantic ? And it so what happened to it ?
