  1. Said Prince Phillip to the Bishop of Canterbury.
  2. Have a look on club web sites, usually have a for sale section. As said above, look before you bid. Were there no pictures? Also report them if description was so inaccurate.
  3. Think the spring clip devise is bigger than the plate, could be wrong.
  4. Like this ?
  5. Are you using a slow action throttle ? What sort of air filter are you using, ie is it to restrictive ? If you were in the UK Surrey Cycles can help http://www.surreycycles.com/carb_01.htm
  6. Me to, and SORN it online.

Are you buying quality bearings ?

Thanks Matchlessman, I guess that JB are not longer in business as one of the 162 views would have details, the reason for wanting contact details was that they were really good quality and lasted well, better than the Renthals currently on. Ross
  11. Out of curiosity, what pressure do you run in the rear ?

Do JB Sprockets still exist ? Any recommendations for replacements, currently using 428 size 15t gearbox and 62t rear.(Talon) Happy with the gearing. Any thoughts ? Thanks Ross

Many follow on bikes ON THE ROAD ONLY, can be good fun and much easier to park. Only officials & riders are allowed off road.
  14. "but I can't be a***d to fit them." Could be wrong, but not sure that's a legal defence. FWIW, I tried all the plastic and metal guards over the years but they broke, rusted, bent etc. The tyres apart from being free actually work.
  15. What country are you in ?
  16. Good question, I have ridden a twin shock over a good part of this area, so it isn't that. Got to be a lack of enthusiasm to adapt the sections, pity.
  17. Car tyres cut to fit do the job of mud guards, free and last for ever.
  18. Thats assuming every household pays income tax, so even worse in reality.
  19. Sadly, not far from the fecking truth.
  20. I think you have to fix the commutator connection anyway, and this will help to eliminate the source of the problem.
  21. No. but it's pretty quick and easy to weld on an extension (if you have a welder and grinder) just did mine a couple of weeks ago. Went from being a pain to not noticing them at all. Which is always a good sign, I think. Think 50lbs springs might still be to soft. Ross

Meths is one of the few that cleans really well & dries without any residue. (white spirit will leave oil) Meths can be bought from a proper paint supplier. A bottle will probably last years, with the top on securely.

Ever wondered what's lying dead in the burn upstream ? From 1st hand experience wouldn't risk it.
  24. Do many peeps enter on twin shocks ? Told its not suitable for pre-65.
