Take a bit of breaking in, good boots do ? Fine after a couple of hours. Never felt pegs, but mine are not the bed of nails type.

Been wearing sidi zero one for a couple of years, very hard wearing, not waterproof, but most importantly, offer the same protection even when saturated. All leather boots I've had in the past become very soft when wet. In most makes I go up one size for sealskins etc, up two sizes for sidi.

Have you tried letting any pressure out ?

It's the heat as you suspected, crack the top and let the pressure out.

Are you getting a good spark ? New plug would be first on the list for me.

Change plug, cap and ht (if possible) Have you checked timing ?

So tiller effect is bad when its behind the forks, but ok when its in front ........

Certainly sounds like an air leak, have you sprayed it while running ? If its the ignition side crank seal, there will more than likely be some 2 stroke residue in the casing.

Any mountain bike I've been on has a stem 40 +mm, yet nobody complains if the "tiller effect " ?

Other than cylinder head bolts, I've never torqued anything up in my life ........

Check air box for water, were you using a pressure washer ? If water in air box, remove spark plug and try kicking over.

It's only a bit of fun, if we all behave like grown ups, none of this would be a problem.
