How worn are the hubs ? Never had a problem with cable ? Is angle of brake arm approx 90degree to cable ?

Hole in bash plates in the correct place on mine, sure it's in the wrong place on yours ?

Don't forget, muscle is much heavier than fat, so your even further forward than you think !

What's the weight of your existing flywheel, have you removed the weight on the other side ?

Aprilia TXR flywheel 2kg, not sure if it's 240 or 280 motor.

Hi Tony, never heard of the centre of front wheel spindle to centre of footrest dimension before. Had to go straight out and check the bike I like the handling of, exactly 39". Good post.(wheelbase 53")

With wider footrest you also get a greater degree of leverage, on small rests your foot could only pivot.
I personally have "modernised" the position for comfort, wouldn't be surprised if the centre of gravity is much the same for a smaller rider in the original position, versus a taller rider in more modern position.
