    78 213 Alpina

Try and borrow a back box at the same time, as said, a blocked exhaust will kill performance. If you decide to buy a new carb, think about a dellorto.
  3. If it works as good as it looks, you could have a new job!

Try a known good carb if possible.
  5. Clutch slip & drag, first hand experience with that.
  6. When you get the urge to compete, this is probably the most suitable club http://eastneukwobblers.webeden.co.uk/ Essentials, allan keys, a few spanners to suit, pump, spare tube / dog turd tool, water proofs, boots, knee protection, gloves, helmet, food & drink. A sense of humour.
  7. Apparently it has to leak oil. Brakes don't work. Won't start. Heavy. Anything else ?
  8. Apparently Andy's got a new electric cooling system.
  9. A good analogy, there's a lot of sheit talked about wine to ....

    Reliability

Could it be "designed" out ?
  11. Do you think it's easy to get a good spark at low revs ?
  12. Would you expect to get a grand for a Fantic in a similar condition ?
  13. Look on motoswm site, all models/years shown. Looks like 1980 to me, metal tank, marzocci forks, rear frame loop. Behind the front no board is a plate that (if original) gives engine and frame no' s, also engine size and year. If numbers agree, rest should also be correct. Magical springs are aftermarket fork springs/shocks, that should be very good if the price is anything to go by !
  14. Gori for sale on wobbly wills.
  15. If converting a mono, the bottom shock mounts are fairly straightforward, the top mounts take a bit more thought. Mono frames were not designed for loads in the area of top mount, and will probably require strengthened.
  16. http://www.motoswm.co.uk/shop/ Martin has all the info, and most of the parts and is real authority on all things SWM. 125 pretty good for a 125, but 240 and 280 better and more common. One real weakness (on a badly maintained bike) is the kick start / shaft, if used when slack will damage both. Otherwise just the usual things to check on a 30 odd year old bike. Many are well maintained as they tend to attract the more discerning and intelligent buyer. The kick start can damage the clutch case if a stop is not fitted, and clutches drag as standard.

    Vertigo Launch

So you ride a 4 lap trial, swap bikes on alternate laps, simples.
  18. Look at Axulsuv' s profile, it might well stand for that.
  19. Bet you know what MILF stands for.
  20. ONO, is similar, but not quite the same as - OVNO. Ok ?
  21. Merely pointing out inconsistencies arise. Ridden and enjoyed The Captains and Waterside, but wouldn't compare them to Kinloch, totally different.
