  1. Can't imagine it handled very well.
  2. Might be worth removing back wheel and springs. Reassemble and see/feel exactly what's going on.
  3. Not an expert by any means, but I can bottom rear shocks easily by kicking down on the pegs. However, they very rarely bottom when riding a section. I have the shocks laid down a bit, and lengthened to 400mm (centers) I use 50lbs springs and have reduced the damping both ways to suit. The swinging arm runs in needle bearings, as opposed to silent block which must affect action, even if only marginally. This setup works well for me, and finding grip is not an issue. Trouble with moving shock mount back is its effect on steering (hence lengthening mine, I have also dropped forks by 20mm)
  4. If the brake was dragging slightly you could lock up the wheel. It's half a bike rack, all the disadvantages plus some new ones !
  5. Stevie, also put a reward for recovery /return on scumtree.

Can you compare EFI reliability on a 4t to 2t ?
  7. Many trials here insist on (small spell checker ) amal carbs, so no experience of other makes.
  8. Remember a lot of the cheap Chinese bikes have exact copies of honda engines and can be picked up for pennies.

Why don't you make it compulsory to list the country your in when registering ?
  14. You can freewheel out a section without penalty, penalty is for stopping. If you stop with a stalled engine and put your foot down and restart engine under your rules it's still a one. Make your minds up.

Have you also changed the condensor ?
  17. One competes up here regularly, it's so reliable it doesn't even need washing. Only weak point is the clutch is unbelievably heavy, with no easy way to improve according to its owner (who also has an SWM btw) 250 has a sleeve that can be removed to convert to 325 if you can find a piston.
  18. Fan will wear out quicker if run continuously, so might not be a good failsafe move.

  20. Does a "leak down test" replicate compression on a running motor ?

Should always try cleaning them first, you can make a similar tool easily. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1owBoyM-i3k
