Knackerd - not surprised with a 280 Climber! Make sure you've got a slow throttle tube on and may be worth a head gasket or two to take the edge off, but just try and ride relaxed and enjoy.
  4. I agree - Doug had no fear when he was on the way up and seemed to crash a fair bit.
  5. It strikes me that there's a bit of a reshuffle going on at the moment. I think Dibs and Brown have more or less reached their level and are still a very long way off ever winning a WTC round. Wiggy seems to be at a similar level to Brown and doesn't look like he'll progress more. Both Jacks - Challoner and Sheppard look like they are progressing well and I think Challoner will fly past Brown and Wiggy (if he hasn't done already)with Dibs in his sights shortly. It looks like it will take one hell of a lot to start challenging the Spaniards though. I'm not up to speed with the A Class lads at the moment but any shining stars in there? As for Dougie, it sounds ridiculous to say for someone who an still get a 6th at WTC level but I really think he's lost his drive at that level and his heart is much more into the Gas Gas enduro and development work.
  6. 315 mont - there's plenty of well looked after ones about and plenty of bits to help them keep going.

Age of tyre (how sharp the edge is) makes a huge difference and of course the skill level of the rider!
  10. Has he been at the Gas Gas factory or has he really been elsewhere?
  11. Sandiford offroad advertise on here and are near Bury.
  12. Amazing, that as afar as I can see there is no comment on these boards other than the simple announcement on the front page. Did no-one go and watch?
  13. Just say that all the lads on TC said it was OK.
  14. Forget general type fitness, it's all about bike time!
  15. In an ideal world all clubs would do the same thing, but clubs have evolved over time down different methods of marking. Only comment I would make on the grading of red/blue down to white is that the class with the biggest number of competitors should have the red/blue marking with the others marked outside of that. Darwen club do this and it works well. In terms of cost flags ARE mass produced already - seeMass produced flagsmost clubs I've ridden at make them themselves even cheaper than that.
  16. Does that class as taining for The Scott?
  17. What a poor design. Really needs a cover of some sort or 'pop up' arrangement, or even a filler up by the usual tank position with a pipe down to the tank.
  18. Doug lost sparks (again)!! Alexz DNFed due to tyre coming of the rim out on the grouse moor (sect 52)
  19. Fred Very well put. John, no getting p****d up punters to bid against themselves this year!
  20. weather aint looking too good. Splash here.
  21. Blocking the exhaust can work or flick the plug cap off, if it's still going pull the fuel hose off rather than go for the carb.
  22. It's not a trials front sprocket though.
