Always liked the looks of those bikes. Never seen one in person and not even sure if many made it to the USA. How do they compare to the production bikes of the same ERA, such as the TY and MAR, plus more.

Is there a way to make the TY175 clutch more progressive? I have the clutch extender and put in some heavier oil such that it drags until warmed up. Those two things helped but I'm wondering if there is anything else.

Just about to do the footrest mod to my TY Mono before I send the frame away to be painted, I know you go 'down and back a bit' but how far ? is it just a case of grinding the old hangers off and taking the new hangers to the edge of the current frame work...or do you have to 'add' a bit more metal to the frame to get the right angle ? cheers

Just changed condensor and moved to under tank, still no spark all joints soldered and fresh wire. Ive not changed the points could it be those? There seems to be no current from the stator area at all I checked for voltage with a multi-meter. Does these windings fail ie like my beta one? Any Ideas more than welcome or any willing volunteers to come and have a look Lytham st annes area.

Does anyone know. Can I take my 1986 Yamaha TY350 cylinder and have it bored out. And then use it without new chrome? Is the material under the chrome hard enough to run a piston in? Alternately. Will a TY250 top end fit on the TY350 block? Thanks.

It's been awhile since I've been to this forum, but I'm looking for some parts for my recently aquired 1974 TY250. The bike is in really good shape and I don't want to damage a very good gas tank. Does anybody make a decent replacement tank? (plastic would do). Also, the bike came with a extended & thicker seat. I'm looking for a solo replacement seat. Any suggestions? Thanks

Now I dont know if this has been done before but would it be possible to take my 96 yz250 and mount all the parts onto a beta/sherco style trials frame. I want the low frame and maneuverability and the a yz is what I have to work with. I just want to know what I would be getting myself into or if there is someone out there that has converted a bike into a trails setup

I have a Majesty 200 and want to improve the forks and fork action! I'm thinking about fitting a Pinky front end (with better forks) and a front disc brake. I already have a set of 175 yokes, which have been milled out to accept the larger diameter TY Mono stanchions Is that not really in the spirit of Twinshock (I see plenty of TLR's with a front disc!!) Any pitfalls, will I be excluded from the Twinshock classes? Would the forks from a TY250 Twinshock be a better bet than the 175 forks already fitted?? Questions.......................??? Alternatively is there anyone who could tune the 175 forks, to improve the spring rate and damping (not frightened to spend a b…

hi all im in need of some advice on what is the best fuel to oil mix for a ty80 that as had a total engine rebuild! Every bearing done ie gearbox, crank, new conrod, new piston, rebore, new clutch new seals the job lot and its cost me a small fortune? I have done away with oil pump and blanked hole off with a kit i bought from tytrials.co.uk. im now ready to run the bike for the first time and was wondering what fuel mix would be best to run engine in before my lad gets on it and kills it! Cheers for any help!

Hi guys, Rebuild is coming along, getting into a few nitty gritty jobs now. While fitting up the throttle cable it felt a bit tight and rough. I dismantled it and oiled it but it's still stiff for the throttle to snap closed. My question is, do you bin the oil pump in favour of a single throttle cable and just mix the oil with the petrol. My thinking is, it's a near 40 year old pump, what if it doesn't deliver the oil as it should. bin it and single throttle cable or replace with new duel cable and keep the convenience of the pump? what have you guys done. Oh and as for tank graphics, do I opt for the thin double line that was on it originally or go …

could some body help me find rings for my 320 yellow Majesty I am doing up? I am a new member. I am English but now live in France. I did a lot of Competition as a Schoolboy in the UK (1979-1983) Including the ACU National series. I was lucky enough to have quite a selection of Majestys and Whitehawks to ride at the time due to my involvement with the T+MX editor and the Newton and district Trials club that was run by Big Wim Harrison who was the Guardian of Kevin Bleasdale (sadly no longer with us)who was sponsered by John Shirt. Back to the question! My Majesty has a Piston size of 81.3mm that would make it 5th over size RT360 (if the is such a thing) Any ideas? Also,…
