Hi, does anybody know where i would be able to buy or get made for me some fuel tank manufacturer brand decals for the "Armstrong 320" (this is the big White flash down the length of the tank-seat unit with Red and Yellow detailing and 320 TRIAL and ARMSTRONG written in Black) and "CCM" (Just those letters in Red). Thanks in advance. Gaff.

What have you been doing to prepare a standard machine for trials. My only mod to date is to lower and move rearwards the footrests. What else is worth doing? Do the wiseco pistons for yz/dt/it fit the ty what code number do I look for? Do Boysen have reeds for the ty if so what is the code? What gearing are you using. What carb jetting for a standard engine. Many thanks for youb help

Hi everyone ,im after some help .My bully 199b as a really bad top end rattle on tickover (sounds like piston slap to me )then clears when revved .Its just had a new pattern piston,little end bearing and a rebore (not the best rebore i've had done )it had a bit of play ,but guy measured it and said nothing to worry about so i put the top end on.Anybody else had a problem before ....Thanks .....Also should have said it only started to rattle after about 2-3 litres of petrol ,running it around my yard .

Hi ... any of you guys having trouble getting Falcon Shocks? I ordered and paid for a set from Falcon early May. After a good wait I phoned them the week before last and was told they would be built and painted at the start of last week .... then sent out mid week ... that's still last week ... I phoned them today ... Monday and they're shut down for a weeks break.... My bonnie Armstrong is sitting here ready for the Highland 2 Day Classic and no shocks... Maybe they're in the post ... I dont know ...I've just phoned Sammy Millers and they're sending out a set of Betors today so I should be able to ride ... Anyone else having problems with Falcon ???? I C

is it possible to buy new ty 175 rear mudguards, in England? I know Sammy Miller does a fibreglass replica but I would like one in plastic, any messages gratefully received

I know this sounds wierd but ive got two ossa mars both same year mk11 250's the engine numbers are about 300 away from each other! standing from the rear of each bike looking straight down at them one has the engine offset by at least 1" to the left the other bike the engine is dead centre! what the f**k's going on with this , anyone know???

I have bought a stop switch for my bike and want to make sure im wiring it correctly. The switch is open circuit until pressed. Do i need to put one of th wires from the switch to a earth point so when depressed it shorts the wire from the coil to earth and therefore stopping the engine. Cheers Mark

Sitting in the pub the other day talking bikes as you do the subject of spark plugs came up. Now the manufacturers have all "recommended" a grade of spark plug but that usually takes into account lots of peramiters which may or may not be applicable to how we use our bikes today. Very few now use them flat out on the road between sections for example. Now the old James seems best on an NGK BP5HS nothing like the manufacturers would have recommended. So what do you find is the best plug to use? This may be helpfull information to newbies to the wonderful world of twinshocks and Pre65 so dont keep it to yourself. I have seen a lot of post about modifying a twinshock bike to make it better for competition. I also understand that no one wants to see a modern bike(ie sherco) with a pair of shocks on it just so they can say it is a twinshock and compete in the twinshock class(sigh). I am riding a kt250 still stock enough to compete in ahrma events. But I can't for the life of me see how any modification on a twinshock bike can be that big of an advantage aside from disc brakes. A trick carb,300cc big bore kit,lowered pegs,hydraulic clutch,trick exhaust,tubless wheels,watercooling etc...do you really think modifying a twinshock will improve your score? I think not. Up to now, I've got away with using a Beta (orange, as in tool company) filter strap wrench to hold flywheels in place but in attempting to remove my flywheel from my Transalp on the weekend (not been off for 22 years), I broke it. I eventually achieved the desired result of removing the flywheel bolt with the use of a 1p coin. However, I've seen proper, heavy duty, metal band flywheel strap wrenches (i remember my old REV3 flywheel being jammed on with one), however can't find them for sale in the UK ? Anyone ?

Can someone explain to me if there's such a thing as a recognised British twin shock championship? I've heard of the normandale rounds and the Sammy miller series. What's the difference in the two series regards in severity, roadwork etc?

Can any one help me id the folowing wheels? Both the front and rear ali wheels have TAKASAGO stamped on them. J 18A/1.85 on front and 1.60 x 21 on rear. Front wheel has a speedo drive that seems to be built into the hub. Thank-you in advance. Steve

Hi All I have a really random and very subjective question for you all. As the title says, what is the easiest twin shock to ride? The reason I ask this odd question is I have a medical condition that causes me to get excessively fatigued from even light physical activity. However I refuse to give up riding just yet and before I do I'd like to ride a twin shock. I do like the look of the TY175's and the Fantic 200, would these be physically tiring bikes to ride? Again sorry for the bizarre question and thanks for any, and I mean any advice Cheers T
