What's this? Is it homemade? Worth of getting? Is it meant to modify the standard glass fiber tank and use it only as a cover (and seat)? I see that a glass fiber fuel tank is a weak point on 348, am I right? http://cgi.ebay.es/MONTESA-COTA-348-INNER-...p3286.m63.l1177

Hi, I' am looking for someone that can manufacture custom made sprockets to my Panda. The bike has a Franco Morini engine, the shaft looks very similar to the one from Fantic's 125 and 200 Minarelli engine but is different in geometry. Any resources as I need just 3 sprockets with 11 teeth for a 428 chain? I have just now a used 11 teeth and a used 13 teeth which comes from a Swedish 125 Monark which had used that engine too. Left to right: - section through the front sprocket, - front sprocket 12 teeth with right shaft diameter but for 50cc Malaguti/Aspes for a Moped chain, - front sprocket 13 teeth for F. Morini with inner dimension, - front spr…

Hi I am considering changing the footpegs on my 1980 cota 349 to the more modern wider level style as I am finding myself slipping off the original angled pegs in the mud with my flat sole boots! The original pegs are mounted on a lug which is brazed onto the frame so the S3 type pegs will not fit as they need to be open ended with a wider gap to fit either side of the lug, I don't really want to modify the frame so I was hoping someone out there may have some advice? From what I have seen on this forum the later 349s and MH's with the later frame design have a different set up which allows the use of S3s or have they been modified?

What's the deal on '70's Montesas? Some have big, ugly seats... I hear some are long and turn like a bus. Which are the good ones? Call me shallow, but I grew up lusting after red ones...the white ones just don't do it for me.

Hi all, just gone to change the oil in my Armstrong 320, referred to the manuel (which is not all that !), which tells me that there is ONE drain plug, on removing the Bash-plate i found that there are TWO plugs/bolts that are identicle to each other, so which one do i remove to drain without the gear-box resorting to sound effects of a "Road Runner" cartoon clock exploding ! ! ! Thanks in advance. Gaff.

Hi I have just got a SM Products Ossa tank to replace the tank on my 74 MAR. The new tank differs from the old one in several ways. It is angular on the top whereas the old tank is rounded as seen on most MAR pictures, the tank is slimmer and is vented from the filler cap instead of the seperate pipe just forward of the cap. Anyone know if the new tank is based on a different year/model ? As my bike has a Cheney frame I am not so worried about originality, but don't want to use a totally wrong tank. Incidentally my painter deemed the old tank too difficult to re do as he said he could not get the multi layers of paint off - anyone know of a tank person who would be happ…

Starting work on the Bult 340 has made me look a little at some of the other bikes waiting in the queue. Done some work on the Cota 330 just to work out what will be needed and would like to paint the frame in the meantime just so it does not deteriorate any further. Does anyone have a Paint code for the Red used on the 330? RAL3020 (Traffic Red?) seems to be used a lot on Monts, but not sure if it's right. I guess I can compare the new mudguards I have stored in the attic against a colour chart. Other thing is the two Ossa Grippers, I've never had a Parts Book for these, does anyone have one? Very willing to pay copying fee's etc. Wayne.....

Im trying to restore a tr80 and i think a few bits are missing off my bike ie washers, incomplete speedo drive, spacers etc. Im based in redditch and would really appreciate it if i could look at a standard bike to see what i need to get hold of.
