Restoring my Rickman hodaka , I just purchased webco cylinder and head , stamp 123cc .. wanted piston rings new preferred . fits this package requires 11or 12 mm wrist pin, ruffly , 55mm piston any info Have contacted hodaka parts co. No reply , I noticed there competing in brothers racing Mid west , USA , was no reply to my email ,, I painted this tank , baby blue and other parts , a possibility , head will fit , on the other cylinder , , upon ,, to find a matching piston , working on E engine assembly , for matching engine , frame , , to make it original , ? More collector valuable , , cheers

Just about complete now, although you can always find more to do. Time to get on with my Ossa TR77 now.

Just resurecting one of my ty175's and have just purchaced some new falcon shocks and the sammy miller footpegs, although i'm not aiming to create a museum piece I do want her to be competetive in the twin shock class. I have noticed that one of my 175 frames has been modified, although cruedly to enable the rear shocks to be layed down to a variety of positions. Is it worth swapping frames and if so what is the ideal distance from the original top mount to adjust the shock too? What are the advantages/disadvantages of laying down the shocks and at what angle do you stop?

Hi all: It looks Ossa returns to trials. The news are they are going to produce a replica of the 1970 Ossa MAR and are thinking in some new projects.... maybe a modern Ossa trials bike??? Who knows!

Has anyone any opinion on which is best shocks, Rockshocks or Falcons, I have made an enquiry about some alloy bodied Rockshocks, I know there have been reports of poor service from Falcon shocks, are the Falcons any better than the Rockshocks and worth the wait or should I just go ahead with the Rockshocks. (new to twin shock bikes)

Hi everyone, I'm a new member so a quick hello. I'm sure this has probably been discussed before but I want to change bikes and would appreciate your opinions. The bikes I am interested in are a Yamaha ty250, Montesa cota349, or a bultaco250/325. Is any one of them better than the other handling, reliability wise etc? and are there any to avoid. I know there are othermakes of bikes out there but these are the ones I grew up with and have nostalgic appeal.I'm an avaerage clubman trials rider and would like a competative twinshock bike. Hi. I have a 76 TL125 that came with new 360mm Betor gas shocks. I think the springs may be the 50lbs ones and am wondering if I can source the lighter ones somewhere. With the pre load on the lightest setting and all the Gas released they still feel stiff. I'm about 80kg in gear. Is there any way to tell which springs they are and does someone in the UK sell just the springs? Cheers

Hi All, I've got two basket case OSSA TR80 350 Grippers. I am planning a full restoration of one of them and will be using the other for parts. But I know one part that is going to give me a real problem. That's the primary exhaust system, part number 134.920 M. Both are dented. Can these dents be repaired and if so how? Or does anyone know where I can get one in a decent condition? Thanks in advance. Spud Plark

Can any one tell me about the Mini Majesty frames. Are they all the same or are there differing types, eg early and late like the 250s. I know there are still some available from C Mawlem. I have a TY175 that I may convert. I liked the look of the one in Classic Dirtbike mag, and a nice one was for sale at Malvern last week. Any info appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I want to improve an Ossa MAR to run in the pre 76 class run over here. I will fit it with a Gripper 310cc engine and would like to fit a first oversize piston. Does anyone know of a source? Have you modified them in any way? For the frame this has to be the heaviest thing known to man. Does anyone sell a lighter swinging arm? Or recommend an alternative? What about footrest position? Lower and rearward, but by how much? Is laying down the shocks necessary as done on the later models? In short any advise would be welcome. Cheers. Any other mods to improve reliability or rideability would be welcome

Not sure iff this post is in the right forum but here goes. Bearing in mind my inexperience riding a trials bike im suffering from really bad handache after about 15 minutes and have to stop and rest them. I work in enginering so i consider myself to have reasonably strong hands but they are quite small and i find the levers quite a stretch. Are there any levers available that are adjustable for reach but still allow the same amount of cable travel ? Cheers Mark

HI, does any body remember the revolutionary macdonad autocycles ossa 250 built by duncan macdonald.this is the guy who used to be involved with the mtb brand PACE.it makes me laugh that these bikes were so ahead of their time but never caught on.any body got any pictures or information or who can point me in the direction of one of these rare machines.

I'm just about to start restoring my recently purchased Montesa 330 and one of first jobs I was looking to do was get the wheels rebuilt with stainless spokes and whilst split get the hubs powdercoated. Obviously this has been before and I would appreciate those of you who have had wheels done to share your experience's with me and any recommendations would be welcome. Thanks

Hi fellas, Got a bit of a problem,after some advice. My 348 Montesa was running ok, then got very hot, then an almighty bang,(that put the wildlife up) after that no spark. Off with the fly wheel new key, points. Still no spark, so anyone know resistance for coils ect or any other ideas. Thanks. Billy

Well, against many peoples advise that I respect I bought the little TL-125 down the street. I just couldn't help it. This was more of an emotional purchase than a logical one...... I'll probably end up with a twin shock bike that will actually haul my weight at some point but this is fun for now!!! Anyway, I always wanted one of these as a kid and always loved the way they looked. The only problem is, just like everyone warned me, this thing has no power. I think an OSET has more power than this....... Soooooo, all you TL and twin shock experts......HELP!!!!! The good: 1. Frame intact and not too beat up looking. 2.
