Any of you Pre65 ers have any problems with rear wheel Punctures and tyre coming of the rim I am approx 15st in gear. New rear tyre plus heavy tube there are two tyre clamps. I was riding on 5lbs approx hoping the 5 would keep the tyre on the rim, not a chance. The tube burst opposite valve.

Could someone help with an answer to my silly question?. I have just purchased a set of the new type of tube gaskets, the set comes with a large black rubber seal which I assume goes in the bottom and two composite type gaskets of different thicknesses . The black one was a right pain to get in as it seemed too thick but I eventually got it in with the aid of some silicon lube, Now for the silly question; what do you do with the TWO composite gaskets?? I would rather ask the question and get advice before putting it together and it leaking. (My cub has a square barrel and head) any advice gladly received

Hi Guys. Ive just got the Miller PVL ignition kit through for my triumph cub and the instructions are quite literally sh*te!! One guy i talked to said you need to split the engine cases to do the modifications needed and others say this is not needed. So basically. what do i do? and how do i do it. the miller instructions are'nt worth having really. thanks for any help.

Hi I have just modified my Cub to run with PVL ignition, I set it up to Serco's initial figure of 3mm BTDC, it starts and ticks over much better now, though it seems lumpy and backfires abit at higher revs, I haven't tried it out in anger yet, just in the garage for short bursts to keep the neighbours sweet. Has anyone any info on timing set up, my cub is standard 199cc with standard cam and compression ratio. I will ride next sunday in a club trial and see how it goes. Any info appreciated. Triton

can anyone post a picture of their cub from the rear. Doing a final dry run before getting the frame painted & i have drawn a blank to remembering how close the right side wheel was to the shock compared to the left? i know the wheel does not sit dead centre but it looks well over to the right. The engine is out at the moment so i cannot check sprocket alignment. Batterys flat on my camera but will post a picture asap.

I'm thinking of building a spare rear wheel for a 1958 T20c, would this have had a standard or wide rear hub? Or could someone please tell me the width of each so I can measure what's in there to get another one the same size.

Hi Guys The exhaust valve rocker spindle on my cub is loose in the head, it will not tighten only rotates. When I run the engine it moves up a down noticeably at the oil feed banjo end. I guess the head hole is worn, does anyone know of a fix or a good engineering company who can sort it. I guess welding and line reaming to size would fix it. Any ideas greatly received.

I have two wide swinging arms for my cub and have been riding with the one that is an inch (25mm) longer than the standard, If I change to the shorter standard length how would that effect the steering, i.e. would I be able to turn tighter with the standard one. I hope someone can advise as it would save me a bit of work changing only to find its worse? Any thoughts would be great.

I've been searching the internet for over two weeks and I can't find a lower crankrod pin, bushing or roller (bearing) for a E3342 rod (what the little Terrior used). I've found the larger crank pin, bush and roller, but not the small. I've contacted Greystone and looked on Feked, but they do not show these parts as being available. Any help would be greatly appreciated... I've got mine all torn apart and want to get it back together with new parts. Thank you.

My recently finished cub still has road gearbox internals with 13t drive and a large rear sprocket (cant remember how many teeth it has!) would the fitting of wide ratio parts be of much benefit bearing in mind that I am returning to trials after a long lay off so consider my self just above novice standard, are the parts available ? and a rough cost ? In conversation at a trial it was suggested that there was a way to achieve the lower gearing by fitting Bantam parts does anybody know if this is possible and what would be involved. Any advise gladly accepted

Hi, thanks for help so far, more silly questions now!! Which tyre is ok for a wobbler on a cub? Is it worth the extra cash for an IRC or Michelin X11 or will a Pirrelli MT43 be ok, I need all the help I can get grip wise!! Is the width at the tread all the same as clearance is abit tight. Im on a very hard MT13 at the moment, terrain is usually woods mud etc. Rgds

Hi Happy New Year to you all. Can anyone tell me how much extra clearance a Miller Swingingarm gives compared to the standard Cub one. From the rear face of the s/arm crossmember to the front of the rear wheel axle slot measures 13 inches on a standard cub. I rode a trial on Sun but couldn't complete it, due back wheel clogging up . conditions were bad, thick mud and dry leaves. Oh no more expense!!!

Hi My new (to me) trials cub has a rear Pirelli MT13 fitted, What is the difference between that and a MT43 rear tyre. The carburation is not good(mk1 Concentric fitted ), at idle its ok, as I open the throttle it coughs and sometimes stalls as the slide lifts initially, ok at quarter throttle plus. I have 120 main jet and #4 slide fitted needle in centre groove. The plug is very black, my next plan is 110 main jet, #3 slide too richen it up off idle, and weaken it at high power thru the reduced main jet. Any help appreciated. triton
