Now heres an interesting one. Firstly shame on you if you didnt say hi on Friday and Saturday. Only Woodie, apart from slapshot3 who wasnt riding anyway and almost got me lost which is another story, had the good nature to say hi. He deserved a clean anyway So Vinnie whats your excuse? i saw you at the presentation so i now know who you are Any ideas who from this forum finished highest in the results?????? As far as i can see it's a certain Mr Rapley. Unless you know otherwise. So if you do let us know. Otherwise well done Hillary and for someone who said he was mostly interested in modern trials a damn good result. Anybody ever noticed how people usually look …

the tail pipe on my villers engined bike is so close to the tyre as it passes inside the frame that it is wearing through. My question is does the tail pipe at the exit of the silencer serve an purpose? does its length effect performance? clearly if i mod it to fit easily inside the frame i will reduce its volume which i believe will restrict performance would shortening it so that only an inch extends from the silencer have any affect on performance?

Hi, anyone know of any very light oil l(5w) that's good for primary chain case lubricant. I have tried a mineral transmission fluid that was OK but did tend to let the plates slip after a short period which was noticeable on kick starting. I did wonder if Diesel oil would be any good?

Hey, what size of sprockets should be on the primary drive of a b 40 for trials use (it's the wd gearbox)? on my bsa the chain is verry loose and the chain tensioner is fully in so i guess the chain is to long or the sprocket is to small? can you get the chains in different sizes? or can you just take a link out the chain? regards bob

I have a problem with my B40 fork ( heavy weight ) When I put the Fork shaft into the Bottom tube the lower bush stops at about 2 inches, normaly ( at Spanish and japanese forks) I can move the shaft down to the ground of the tube..... What should I do ? Reducing the diameter of the lower bush a little bit ? I change no parts except the seals on the fork and before disassembling everything works fine......

Could someone advise a solution to a small problem please, I fitted a PVL ignition to a cub I'm building, it has the plate that mounts on the crankcase bolts rather than the modification of the 3 posts. when I try to fit the primary chaincase the bottom plate mounting stops the case going on. So before I grind off anything and completely B***s it up does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks

Morning all. Physically fitted but no spark, could anyone please confirm for me stator connections to ignition unit (spade connectors) for blue and black leads. Also I have timed it at 5 degrees BTDC using the mark on the rotor with the closest mark on the stator. Apologies for really simple questions but didn't get any instructions with the system. Thanks.

Hi: I pretend to race with this bike in the next Scottish Pre-65, last year I burned the ignition where beaking down is a nightmare; Meall Na Cruaidhe, fortunately it has now a good ignition fixed. I have the next the next troubles with it; 1.- Rear mudguard, I can not find an alloy rear mudguard for this bike, they are either short, too wide or too narrow. This one is built out of 2 plastic bultaco mudguards, but would like to put something more original. Maybe Spain is not the place to look for this mudguard. 2.- Is there any webb where to buy sprockets for it?? It is slightly "short" for me. 3.- Something apparently easy, as making the fork soft in the beginning and…

Just got my grubby mitts on two issues of the 'Offroad Review'(Nos 70 and 71 to be precise) published 1999 by Ariel Publishing. These are excellent, offering a wealth of interesting articles and superb quality photographs of classic off road action from ancient to more modern times. I've never come across these before and I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me if they are still published. I can't find any reference to them on Google so I suspect they may not be but does anyone know for sure? TIA for any info, and happy new year to all...
