Restored by me last winter, pictures during the rebuild are in particular order ,The gear leaver was off at the time of taking the last pictures and the front brake cable needed connecting as well. Also found out the bike has a 1949 front tyre on it as well! Still got a few bits and bobs left to do to her. Before: After:

Hi all, My Dad asked me to scan a picture of an old work van he had and on the same page were some pictures of his trials days that I though you may find interesting. I was going to tell you what year but perhaps you might like to guess?

If you look at the topic 'New Twinshock Frame for BSA Unit singles' you will see from the second page on that a discussion about Pre-65 eligibility has developed - a little off track from the subject heading but very interesting. So if you want to join in or follow the discussion you need to go to that topic! P.S. Does anyone know how to contact Paul Jackson, Mick Mills or John Burgess? All of whom I am told make or modify frames.

Hi Folks. Rode my brothers greeves today at peak clasic and had a great time. Makes it more frustrating that I cant find a subframe for my TFS as I have pretty much everything else. Have tried the nice people at Greeves several times but they never seem to have the time to sort it out. Can anyone help me out with a contact or better still have one lying around !!! Back brake would be good too.

I have the chance of a BSA C15 in road trim, are they relatively easy to convert for pre65 trials? When converted are they any good or are special frame kits etc required to make them competative?. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated as when these bikes were manufactured I wasn't even born!! Thanks

My recently finished cub still has road gearbox internals with 13t drive and a large rear sprocket (cant remember how many teeth it has!) would the fitting of wide ratio parts be of much benefit bearing in mind that I am returning to trials after a long lay off so consider my self just above novice standard, are the parts available ? and a rough cost ? In conversation at a trial it was suggested that there was a way to achieve the lower gearing by fitting Bantam parts does anybody know if this is possible and what would be involved. Any advise gladly accepted

Could anyone out there in bogwheel land, please advise me as to the best modifications to do to my 1961 Bantam D7 frame for trials use. I have seen some really good photographs of frames on the Yorshire Classic web site and would like to add some more ground clearence to my frame by removing the lower footrest portion. I was thinking of adding two bashplate tubes under the cases and replacing the feeble front engine mount, with proper engine plates, cross drilling the downtube and welding in crosstubes for the bolts. Is this an advisable mod, or will it stop me being allowed in some Pre-65 competitions. The bike has B40 A/B type forks with QD spindle, though I dont have a…

Hi Guys. I was chatting to a good friend of mine this last weekend. He is an engineer and machinist of some rupute, and also looks after some of the country's historic armoury, IE Field guns,Rifles, and Cannons etc. I asked him if he could machine me a set of "fiddle fork" sliders. I thought it should be easy for him as he dealt with gun barrels on some of the jobs he did I showed him the Marzocchi sliders that i needed machining down to fit inside the "Short Norton Road Holder" ones that I was proudly polishing in my hand. He shook his head, and said it would not be easy, and could turn into a long and expensive Job. He then went on to explain how he would go about it…

Hello all, I am in need of some help, before i burn the **#@! bike, I have a real ugly 197 Villiers "7E" maybe in a BSA d3 frame, just bought it and want to get it running. I have spark at the plug.. the plug seems to be getting wet from fuel but not drowning... but no real fire only coughs and the odd hiss out carb. Also it has a dellorto ub20s carby. Anybody that wants to throw there hat in the ring is welcome and no idea would be consider silly.. Bike is in Australia and is my pre 65 project if it lives that long. will be waiting "sleeping" at my keyboard till I get some ideas.. Timing setup? points? I dont know. Thanks guys Chris

can anyone post a picture of their cub from the rear. Doing a final dry run before getting the frame painted & i have drawn a blank to remembering how close the right side wheel was to the shock compared to the left? i know the wheel does not sit dead centre but it looks well over to the right. The engine is out at the moment so i cannot check sprocket alignment. Batterys flat on my camera but will post a picture asap.
