Hello, I am a new honda TLR200 driver. After riding good Montesa's ( 2x 348 and later a 311model) i ride some new gasgas bikes, the txt280 and the TXT280Pro 2002 model. This is the point that i didn't like trials no more. 2 hours driving means 4 hours get youre bike fixed for the next ride. I sold my bike because i did not like i anymore. Suddenly i fond my dreambike fore sale. A TLR200 in a not to bad condition. I always wanted this bike bacause its a trial, its a fore stroke whit an amazing sillent smooth sound, and it a Honda. I am going to strip i down an rebuild it new. New piston-valves-camchain-exhaust, and what ever it takes to build my dream completly …

Any ideas as to the cause of the following; Bike runs great when cold, idles just spot on and rides great with smooth power throughout but once it warms up the idle starts to drop off to a point it won't idle even with the screw full in. It will rev up fine but held on a steady rev it is very spluttery and runs a bit rough then when you open it up from there it is bogged down. Any clues ?This is what I've done and the various settings. Main jet 92, pilot jet 35, carb stripped and cleaned several times. Points clean and set at 12, new plug - DR8ES set at 30, got a spark and after the bike has been run and is hot the plug is black but dry. I've also cleaned out the fil…

I have just picked up a Tlr 200 and it still has the standard Honda throttle fitted. It seems a bit firey, all or nothing. Does any one here know if it is a fast action one fitted as standard. I am wondering if it would be better with a Domino slow action or similar. Thanks in advance

Just noticed the seller on ebay" hondartl "removed his listings again before the auction ended, this is a common practice from this blagger, so any future genuine Honda riders needing parts i would not waste your time bidding on the guys items he just says they sold outside of the auction blah blah, the items usually go on when it's a free listing day!!! Has anyone else noticed this i also seem to remember he is a member of our site!! not good eh!

I have been offered a TL125 for 400 quid i believe it is 1974 ish are they worth this?, or to put it another way what kind of condition should it be in for this kind of money? I know its a diificult question to answer but the bike is quite a drive away,so just need some rough pointers to start with, standard colours round this era etc.

I have a '74 TL125 and the origional carb body is warped and the slide sticks so bad it is unusable. Has anybody run across another carburator that works on the TL that might be easier to find? It seems I remember someone saying a XR75/80 carb will work but I haven't checked and would assume it would need rejetting. What should I be looking for?

Hello to all. I recently took delivery on a very decent 1986 TLR 200 and I'm in the process of getting the bike back on the road. My question at the moment is how you folks have your carburetor adjusted. I did an ultrasonic cleaning removing most all the parts but the air screw. This has a cap that prevents it from being turned fully out. Currently it seems to be running way too lean and very hot engine-wise. With the seat removed, if I place my hand over some of the air vents it will pick up speed. I assume this means it is starved for gas... but I'm not sure why. I may try and clean the carb a second time and this time remove the air screw. I should also say this wa…

HIya.. Found a Honda here (minus fuel tank and seat unit) on the frame badge it says TLM 260RF Cant find any info on the internet of this model. Can any of you tell me anything about it?? Would it be worth trying to get hold of to restore? Would I be able to get hold of parts? Thanks in advance for any help. Its not for sale YET..but I know who owns it...it has been sitting in a shed for about 3 years untouched
