Having spent most of this year planing the last round of the British youth trials championships in October, we now feel bitterly disapointed to hear that some of the so called stars may not bother entering as there champiomship class's have already been decided. Well thanks very much We have got Steve Saunders to build the sections for the Saturday night indoor trial, arranged a cheep ferry rate with Red Funnel ferries, got local radio, and now TV intersted, trying to get Barry Robinson from T& MXN to do the press coverage, sold most of the sections to sponsors to raise money for the local hospice, etc etc. Our lads spend most weekends traveling to the mainland t…

VNUK . Without a doubt it's been mentioned, but HERE IT IS AGAIN!!!!!!! Do not ignore this, sign the petition. Some of us won't have, so do it now as it takes three minutes. Then get your wives and girl friends, mums dads, sons and daughters too as well ! IT'S THAT IMPORTANT ! SOME OF YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING IF YOU LET EU JUDGES DECIDE OUR FUTURE. I signed it and i also joined MAG for £26 as a result. You do as you like but please sign the petition. If you don't you have only your selves to blame for not trying. If you don't,and the ruling goes unabated , here's what will happen;- Your freedoms will be cut more and more, because the legal powers in t…

Hi I am new to all this, taking delivery of a montesa 315r at the weekend. I plan to join a club and start entering events at some point ( I know thats probably the best way to learn). Before that I want to get a bit of practice, so like the title says, does anyone know of any good practice grounds in Northamptonshire?

I'm not making this up for once. A local Trials club; no names. is to stop serving soup ( FOC I may add ) to riders after the trial. Apparently a member pointed out at the AGM that a rider falling ill after partaking may leave the club wide to legal action. No way is this decision connected to the club being in the North East of Scotland an area noted for extreme thriftyness and deserted streets on poppy day.

Any of you get TMX on a Thursday? Trying to get details of Clive trial this weekend (20th) to shove on our local website. It wasn't in there last week. I hear it's on, but can't get hold of venue etc. Mind you I'm hearing Wrexham Trial is cancelled, so they shouldn't be short of entries.

Hi all, So this year will be my first ever scott, excited, nervous and a load more emotions are currently running through my mind. I have a good friend who has rode the scott numerous times and tried to explain how he sees it and the best ways to prepare. I am in no way looking to finish as after watching it for the last ten years i know just how hard it is. Just wanted to pick the brains of people that have rode the event before or locals on what to exactly expect. How to train? What to expect in sections? Mental approach? The going between sections? Pacing yourself? bike prep? All these questions and so much more, i…

Any Kent trials riders out there that can recommend a good, friendly club? I live in Sittingbourne and want to get back riding after a 2 year lay-up. Only problem is, my old riding buddies have hung up their boots so I'm looking for like-minded Kent trials riders to meet up with. Anyone in Sittingbourne or nearby want to meet up at a club trial so I'm not a Billy-no-mates? I used to be an OWLS member, but all the trials were always over in the Tonbridge direction which isn't that local to me. Can anyone out there recommend a more local club that holds club trials on a regular basis? I spoke to the Sittingbourne Trials club some time ago, but I was told they don't ho…

I had a conversation with JD (of TMX fame) at the finish of the Scott about what makes folk want to put themselves through so much torture and physical pain and neither of us could figure it out. We both decided we're happier BEHIND the lens! It obviously hurts even the fittest so... what makes YOU do it?

Having "suffered" at the Indoor trial seats and spacing that would make Ryanair blush, I can only hope the Leeds Arena is better. My Legs and back have only just recovered from the "crush" that is Sheffield. Are Other's better than Sheffield???

Hi Just received my number through for this years trial and upon reading the information sent to me it says that each day the trial starts from the daily venues which are not the start field. Does this mean that on a morning we have to drive to the start field listed in our vans instead of setting off on bikes from the start field as we did last year? Cheers Beta729

Should have been nine of us out today but a few did nt turn up, pic is of 4, 06 270's and a Cabestany rep, should have been 8 Betas instead. Fantastic day, rode for 8 hours nothing stupid just some great sections and a good laugh. Met up with a couple of local lads for an hour or two on Shercos, dont know how lucky you are living with this lot in your back garden. About 400 Enduros there again, but no burger van this time unfortunately. Bike rode really well and no popped plugs so maybe the resistor in the plug is causing the problem after all? Hoping to actually do a trial somewhere next weekend, anyone know where a good one is on aprox 70 mile radius of Oxford. ..

Can someone explain the marking system on the Scott. I have watched videos and noticed several riders in a section at the same time. Are the sections not walked thhrough first and are there more than one observer at each section ie one observer/rider in the section. I am puzzled as to what happens.

Hi all, I might be interested in joining a club if there is one locally enough, I live near Fleet in Hampshire UK. Any club would need to have suitably talentless members as not to make me feel too uncomfortable, of course. I would appreciate any ideas! Cheers, Ralpher.
