My Killswitch wire going directly into the CDI box on my Sherco 290 2008 model has broken off extremely tight to the CDI unit so I am unable to reconnect a wire back onto it. This means I am not able to utilize my Killswitch. Is there an alternative wire coming from the CDI box that I am able to connect onto to reinstate the Killswitch? Any advice would be

Evening folks hope you are all well, my lad has managed to get an entry into this years Scott trial and I’m hoping to get some advice on what will help him finish. I’m told a Dunlop rear tyre is a must as they don’t fall off the rim easily, plus I’ll need a few extra fuel cans, if you can think of anything else which will help it’ll be much appreciated. I’m looking to source him a TRS as it what he usually rides. Many thanks. Pete.

Hi, I have a 22 Virtigo Nitro and the clutch is hard to pull in and it’s all or nothing, not progressive at all. I was told it’s the setting on the clutch but I’ve had the case off and can see the blue ring is already on setting 1 (the most progressive option?) What should I try next to a) make the clutch more progressive and b) make it softer to pull in. Does the clutch just need bleeding? A new clutch? Both? All help welcome

Hi all, I have an old Gas Gas 250? trials in my barn, haven't used it for 10 years and thinking of selling for a restoration project. I still have a road bike but a bit too old for trials now and a biker mate thought it might be a 125cc it would have been lively if it was a 125 but he seemed to think it was. I would hate to mislead anyone so I have looked at the ID plate by the headstock> *VTRGG2599112980309* can make out a long number and wondered if any Gas Gas experts would be kind enough to decode for me and perhaps indicate a ball park value as a project. I realise it may be virtually worthless now but it was running when last used and always under cover so …

Just completed my clubs first online entry setup using the new ACU Sport 80 system ( The neighbours have probably learnt a few new swearwords 🤬) Its done my head in especially entering info for all the youth classes, does anyone know if all the info I have typed in for this event eg classes etc will be saved in the system making a lot easier when setting up our next competition. I would have asked ACU but I'm still waiting for answers to the email I sent them back at the beginning of January.

Is the Scottish Sixdays next week worth a visit? I am hoping to go and have a look and see some of the riding - but are there any trade stands or bargains to be had ? Being a newbie, with a 14 year old bike, I have a lot of bits and bobs I would like to buy - boots, springs (I am around 15.5 stone in my birthday suit), riding gear, chain set, brake pads, etc... I know I can get all this stuff on line - but are there trade stands in Fort William? When is best to go? Cheers Alan

I haven't measured it, but... The chain set on my (new to me) 2009 evo250 looks to be in reasonable condition; but the chain is slack, almost touching the swing arm. However the snail adjusters are at their max rotation. I suspect a smaller sprocket than standard is on it. So, how much length will I get if I turn the adjusters to thier minimum setting? Enough to cut a link off the chain so I can set it up at the correct tension?

Is it possible to cancel an entry for a trial after you have entered and paid? There is no 'help' or faq that I can see. My missus has a scaphoid injury and will not be able to ride the next trial. We have both looked at the platform and cannot see this is possible. The event is by our own club so easy enough to do that route but I wondered if it would be as easy if you had booked another club's event?
