UK Trials Talk

This is something I've never seen or been to, but something I'd really like to take in. Can anyone recommend a good Championship event, preferably not too far South (Yorkshire/Lancashire, that sort of area is best for me) that I could cover over this summer?

Does anybody know of any practice venues in lancashire or yorkshire? i'm really struggling for places other than back cowm to practice cheers chris

Work has started on our round of the 2012 British championship.We have changerd venue to Nevis range,venue of the last 2 world rounds.We wont be using the route used by them up by gondala station but have a bran new unseen and unused burn.Never seen a trials bike in it. All natural sections perfect for the new rules with a man made final section in car park.Not a big lap but we are very hopefull of getting use of a minibus to shuttle spectators between the 2 groups of sections.The land is owned by forestry commision and nevis range so there will be a few strict rules in place regarding speeding on tracks and no illeagal practicing.Does anyone know when the list of riders …

Hi. Not sure if this is in the right section but I'm looking for a shop in the north west that sells trials gear. I need a helmet but obviously need to try it on first which rules out buying online. I'm in Reading in a few weeks if anybody knows of a shop down there if there's non closer to home. thanks for reading, Craig.

Hi guys, just wondering if any clubs in or around the midlands do a class for our 4 year old on his oset 12.5? We want him to have a go but all the official oset club events seem to be miles away like Cornwall, Kent and Yorkshire? We were going to go and watch one this weekend to get a feel for what goes on as we know nothing about trials but the closest one we can find is 2 hours away. Any help would be much appreciated. Anyone used to ride / practise here in the 70's early 80's ? i used to ride my ossa mar (white tank/yellow-p/petty mudgaurds, anyone remember it???) the area near to the road was the best part , the dells we'd call them! anyhow i heard a rumour that high wycombe district council owns the woods , does anyone if this is true? who does own it? , and also heard that it was for sale at some stage and that some trials riders were thinking of buying it? can anyone shed any light on the above?

Anyone have any news on addingham moorside! I heard that the moor as now been open to cycle trials on the 14 day rule? Do the council think cycle trials is motorsport and what as happened to the pettion and all the letters we sent to mr fothergill!

Does anyone know how Shaun is going on ?? Seeing as he was not there in the final round to push for the British Championship title.

i'm gonna buy my first trials helmet tomorrow my question is if i'm ever gonna enter any trials will my helmet have to have an ACU sticker ? the reason i ask this i used to race enduros and our helmets had to be ACU gold stickered thanks

Hi could anyone tell me where i can take my rear wheel to be re-spoked in lancashire or to just fix the broken ones and set it up. With out breaking the bank ?

I have been told that Northallerton have a trial on this Sunday but without TMX I cannot find any reference to it. Anybody have any details? Where is it, What Time does it start and what Type of Trial is it? (Club, Nov/beg. Fun etc)?

I live near Bristol, so within the Wessex Centre, but also close to Western And South-Western Centres. Which club would local forumites recommend for a novice looking for as many easy trials as possible?

when is someone going to start a list of places to ride in the UK ? apart from clubs. I will be willing to complile a list and mount it on a web site if people want to share there fave places to ride with everyone.
