The Trial today at Post Hill has had to be cancelled. They have been unable to find course markers available to mark the Trial out.

Im looking for a trials bike, new to the sport, but ridden trails for a while now. Wondering if anyone can tell me about availability of parts for the different brands, or even different bikes? Or are there any that are hard to get parts for? Looking at modern bikes. Thanks in advance for all advice

Hi Could anyone point me in the direction of a good Trials bike repair shop in county Durham or surrounding areas. I've got a Sherco 250 that I think either needs a new clutch basket or clutch. Id appreciate any help . Grahmy

Hi everyone. I’m coming from enduro scene and looking starring some trials. Just spend my time bimbling around and want to do something more specific and challenging. What sort of things do I need to be practicing and am I going to make a fool of myself if I just crack in with some events? Its a bit of a vague post but any help would be appreciated. I’m based nottingham way if anyone can recommend and groups/clubs or events thanks

  8. Starting just outside Chesterfield, a few more observers are required. As the riders tend to come through in one lump it doesn't take long, with my brothers I will be observing early on and at a later group. When my dad was alive we used to make a day of it doing some trail riding before and after and riding to some of the sections on land not normally accessible. Contacts are Mick Worthy 01246 86289, or Rene Stubbs 01283 225909 Cheers

Isn't it ironic for a sport that is based on overcoming difficult obstacles and conditions, that as soon as it snows all events are cancelled. (Yes, I do know the reasons why, but I can't help the feeling that it wouldn't have happened in the "good old days" when most of us would have got there somehow, despite the lack of traction control, ABS and hour-by-hour weather forecasts.)

Most riders have been contacted but there a few I don't have a number for - the Jack Wood is cancelled due to the weather. Sections are OK but the roads are not so for observers to get around the course and stand out in the sub zero temperatures would be very difficult and therefore make going ahead not a sensible decision on the clubs part. Days of work wasted! - we might be able to find a new date but with a packed calendar we can't promise anything. Cheers HMCC

This week sees the Government launch a consultation on post-Brexit agricultural subsidies with an accent on recreational access. Several groups see this as a chance to increase their access to "the countryside", no doubt at our expense. There must be officials from both ACU and AMCA on here - can they tell us if these organisations have been invited to take part and, if not, what steps are to be taken to ensure our voice is heard?

Hi all, I currently own a montesa 315r, I believe to be a 99 bike. The bike is great and I have no issues. I use it to ride in Clubman B, but I have decided its time to treat myself as I want to get more serious into trials. I'm still along way off from being able to ride as spectacular as some so I'm looking for a good bike to see me through the next 2 or 3 years. I have had beta, sherico and this montesa, but they have all been second hand etc and I had all sorts of issues with the sherico, but I have no idea what there are like new. Any suggestions or preferences as to what would suit me. Ps don't know if it helps but I'm about 5"10 and stocky build (not fat), I weigh…

I live near Bristol, so within the Wessex Centre, but also close to Western And South-Western Centres. Which club would local forumites recommend for a novice looking for as many easy trials as possible?
