Such a popular event it deserves it's own forum!

  1. Started by bigfoot,

Many of you riders will have seen two dodgy looking blokes in bright red XC-Ting rubber gear photographing at sections that other spectators couldn't get to very easily (This was me Bigfoot and my mate AGM). We went to sections most people other than the riders just don't get to see we also tried to capture riders looking there best in spectacular looking sections but still in control feet up. We did this on behalf of TRIALSPHOTOS.COM but as interest in last years event begins to be over taken by the 2007 event we feel releasing the 2006 ones will only help raise the profile of the event and TrialsCentral/TrialPhotos. Our efforts resulted in around 700 good shots. These…

first post to name all 4 riders and the year will receive a 2008 ssdt programme and a couple of stickers through the post from HL (she doesn't know this yet) to make it fair for those who don't have 'six days in may' i have removed the riding numbers BJ - give the guys a chance and hold back - you can referee ! ps the 4th rider to be named is the one with the suzuki jacket on - (I thought I knew who this was but now having second thoughts - BJ can keep me right)

Well, this time next week literally thousands of us will have arrived in Fort William for the start of one of the greatest weeks in the trials calendar. It's incredible to think that it's come round again so quickly! Most of us will spend the best part of this week organising everything that needs to be taken with us, so for those of you riding the trial, read on for some reminders on the things you're not allowed to forget. For those of you just coming along for the show, here's some more about the events taking place throughout the week... Parc Ferme... As usual, the Parc Ferme is based in the West End Car Park on the waterfront in Fort William. If you haven't been …

For all you riders competing in the SSDT this year I would recommend you visit HERE and order youself a quality photo of ''Your Holiday in the Highlands'' I am not on any commission for pluging this only to say I have ordered a couple of photo's from Andy and they are quality, so it is worth you spending a bit of brass as it is only a samll amount of what you spent last week up there on keeping your bike going or keeping yourself lubricated in the evening on BEER!!! As Andy says the money goes back into our sport so another worthwhile reason for doing it.

has anybody got any good tips for Cabby as newcomer to SSDT this year? Having done as many years with a book in my hand as I have ridden It occured to me that the Scottish is very differently observed to what he is used to plus you have same observers for 6 days I just cant imagine him having ability problems in the sections. There is always the possibility of getting lost ..out of fuel...time etc. will he be tempted into the evil ways of beer and haggis?

Now i know the organising club, whoever they are as i have never been so not sure, for the Pre 65 event dont have a website so is there any way i can obtain a list of entries for the event? I was going to offer to observe while i was there but heard from a friend yesterday that they had offered but were told observers were not a problem. Theyre lucky then Would be nice just to see who is riding to see if i know anybody.

Welcome to Day One of the 2013 Scottish Six Days Trial! Monday's trial is brought to you courtesy of our daily sponsor, John Lee Motorcycles. The weather in the Fort today has been the traditional grey drizzle that we all know and love, but apparently over by Kinlochleven it's a lot brighter, so fingers crossed it won't be too wet out there today.

Every year a few of us get together one night up in Fort Bill and visit the rather good curry house on the High Street for some nosh. Apart from the usual suspects (Slapper, Bigfoot, Fugly who I just take for granted will be there!), if anybody else is up for it, drop me a PM and we'll see what we can get organised

Great going Alexz, Dabster is chuffed! Me too! Come on Browney! You can do it! Carlos has pulled away from Baldilocks, and Baldi has let Becky Cook get a slight advantage with only one point separating them. The mudwrestling competition between them awaits! Ishy is still lagging behind the rest of the girls, sniffing the perfume! Beer is good with the ibuprophen! Seems young Jack Challoner had a bad day, putting him out of the points race, while Vasey and P.A. have retired. Hope they are ok!

The predicted tight battle for top honours at the 2013 Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) lived up to expectations on the opening day, with the top seven riders separated by just three marks. Michael Brown (Gas Gas) is the early leader having gone clean on day one, as he bids to record his first SSDT win after finishing as runner-up on four previous occasions. Brown has last year's victor Dougie Lampkin (Gas Gas) for close company. Dougie sits only one mark off the lead as he looks for a record-extending seventh win. Alexz Wigg (Gas Gas) who won the 2010 SSDT has once again opened his assault with a strong showing, his two-mark loss putting him in third place at this point.…

Having had his entry into the Ballot for the 2014 SSDT confirmed - Gary "Bingo" Bingley is to make a welcome return to the sport with his main aim being winning th ssdt 2014 over 50 award (as he's 50 in February). This will all be for charity -and he is starting his new fitness regime this weekend with some altitude training in the alps. Please give him all the encouragement we can and watch out for more details - He'll hopefully be back on a bike at the Cumberland Clubs New Years Day Trial. Thanks for now. 20. Started by 5again,

Dougie's comeback ride has obviously been one of many highlights of this year's event, but I was wondering does anybody know what was the problem with Dougie's bike on Monday that caused such a loss of time ? - saw a vid on youtube of him trying to kick it into life, then wheeling it away, Then what happened ? presumably he carries a spare plug, wonder how it was fixed, whatever it was.
