Every year a few of us get together one night up in Fort Bill and visit the rather good curry house on the High Street for some nosh. Apart from the usual suspects (Slapper, Bigfoot, Fugly who I just take for granted will be there!), if anybody else is up for it, drop me a PM and we'll see what we can get organised

Doug Lampkin winning his 11th Scottish rightfully made all the headlines. He was however a firm favourite going into the week. I'd like to congratulate Tom Minta on a fabulous and dare I say, less widely predicted result. Best first timer, 5th overall and best under 200cc, Tom rode the Scottish on a 125. Hands up all those clubmen who still think they 'need' a 300!

Hi all I am going to attend this years SSDT,but want to make sure i get to see two sections,being:The pipeline and the other is one that is always featured on DVD's,it is were they go under a road bridge which is always full of spectators and climb up the stream over rocks.I hope this is good enough descripton.My main question is were are both of these sections so i can plan to see both,also are they at opposite ends of the trial,or by any good luck,within a couple of days of each other.Any help would be great. Anybody got video of me being twatted by the bike that flipped upside down? I'd really love to see what the hell went on as I was looking at the screen on the camera at the time and didn't even realise anything had happened till I got this sudden pain in my shin where the bash plate hit it.

As the title says, does anybody know who the Observer was when Gordon Jackson had his famous dab? ETA I dont!

As with a lot of the bigger trials the entries are by ballot. Is everyone in the ballot? are there seeded riders? Who's in and who's out. As always all the well known names are on the first list. Imagine Lampkin or someone like on the reserve list and not getting in. Would this be possible? Is the system a fair one? I've no axe to grind, just something I've been thinking about. Who would know the answer? cheers Tom

As I've written elsewhere, this weekend coming looks horrible, I'd even say there's a risk of a snow shower higher up on Saturday. HOWEVER........based on the cut out of a chart below the main part of next week is looking better. If this scenario works out it'll improve steadily from Sunday afternoon onwards, the high pressure building from the southwest. The high will continue to build until it kind of stops over the UK. East coast will be crap but the west could have a really good week. Got the word that successful entries have been informed. Looks like it's a goer for me and the laudie be more than interesting come May. See on the 12th if we can call ourselves Trials Riders.

I hope the riders in these pictures dont mind me using their pics as examples but i couldn't help but notice how many riders stick their tounges out when riding. Hello, I have been reading the supplementary regs and have realised that after going through the final time check I have to stay in the car park. I was planing to go across the road to my accommodation to work on the bike as I will be riding a fantic this year. Does anyone know if any of the dealers would be offering a support service eg shelter and airline (at a cost?) to independent riders? Many thanks
